Changes within (Falace)

*Hurt*

A week had passed and a new day dawned upon the town with pep. Alice had spent her week settling into her new home. In every journey she hoped to see Fp, but she never did. Of course she had no idea where he lived but a friendly face is key when in a new area. 

In the week she had made a friend, Mary, Mary Andrews a kind hearted woman, her husband Fred passed away shortly after their son Archie turned 13 and daughter Alexia turned 2, that was 2 years ago now. During that time she had embraced the fact she was bisexual, she had a girlfriend, who had a daughter and co parented with the father. She was a kind soul.

Today marked the first day of Alice's new job, she had walked the dogs, filled their bowls given Oreo love and cleared his litter box. 

Her routine became daily, however she was now on her 3rd week and she hadn't seen him again. It slipped her mind after a while as she continued with her life.  

Today she wore  a pair of denim shorts, a black belt, white off the shoulder top with slide on shoes. She would change into her uniform when at work.

She adored her job, she was one of the best they had she'd been told, she could comfort a child and offer the support whilst also doing her job accordingly.

She loved the uniform too, many complained but she thought it was adorable. The uniform was a pastel yellow, on the front pocket sat a small bear, the pants were clingy but they were cute, they had a bear on the bottom of each leg, Her badge was black, small bears and cats peaking out with her Name in the middle. She also had a black lanyard, the lanyard itself had animations of monkeys,cats, dogs birds. Then the main bit that had the unit she worked in. her sign in barcode and name had small bears in the corner. The uniform was made to bring comfort to the children.

Her day began as normal, her hot chocolate and croissant, she began her day. Taking lunch at 12pm and heading to the ER. Where Hermione worked, Mary's fiance. She co parented with her rich ex husband Hiram who was now happily married to a woman with not much relevance. They had their own son who had just turned 1 month and a daughter who was 4, the pair had been separated 5 years, since their youngest Ellis was 1 and their oldest Veronica was 10. He had been having an affair.

Another day at the bar. Fp sighed, he loved his life. but sometimes he wished he'd done more. "Morning Fp"a woman batted her false lashes squeezing her boobs together. "I don't like plastic, save the turtles "He grumbled. "Morning "numerous people greeted him.

The day began like no other for him, the usual people hitting on him, meetings and work. His serpent jacket hugging his muscles tightly, his hair jelled back. 

The younger children all played together in the courtyard, Toni Topaz, aged 16 being the oldest along with Fangs Fogarty and his best friend Sweetpea. 

"Fuck sake"Toni grunted walking into the bar, anger plastered upon her face. "They are closing down southside  high. We have to go to Riverdale High. with the north side preppy's"Fp chuckled. "Topaz your girl is annoyed"He called to Bear, a fellow serpent, Toni's father. 

The conversations flowed for a while before a younger serpent ran in, you couldn't class her really as a serpent but she was born into it. 

Jaws is what they called the 7 year old. she was known for her biting obsession. She was dumped as a baby they had raised her. The Topaz' raised her to be exact. 

"Jess whats wrong"Toni asked "Lily, she fell, shes hurt"Fp dropped his glass. With all of his leg power he ran from the bar to the back courtyard where she laid crying. Her head bleeding her leg looked mangled. 

"Daddy it hurts"She cried into his neck. "I know baby the ambulance is coming"He nodded towards hog eye who made the call.

"Alice we have a young girl around 5 coming in, lead on it."Sierra her boss demanded. Alice lightly nodded. She stood alongside Penelope a fellow nurse. Who had twins the same age as Hermione's Veronica and Mary's Archie. Cheryl and Jason. 

Soon the doors burst open, her eyes fell onto him. Then to the girl before her.

"Lily Jones aged 5, fell from a climbing frame she hit her head and the leg looks broken"Alice thanked him.

"Bay 7"She called with Fp's gaze hard on her. 

"Hi sweet heart its Alice"She spoke as the bed wheeled into the room."Pretty"Lily smiled through her pain. Soon her bed had been stopped.

"Okay on my count. 1,2,3 lift, shift, 1,2,3 lower"The second she was on the bed machines were connected. "You are so so brave, look at me sweetie this will sting okay, so you look in my eyes okay, hold my hand"Alice held her hand gently as penelope inserted her canula. "Brave brave girl"Alice whispered. 

"500mg paracetamol "She shouted. Fp watched, shocked he'd met her yet again. "I want a head ct please and a x ray on this leg"Her demands moving quickly. 

"Now Lily where is the pain"Alice asked her. "Leg, head"She stammered "arm" Alice nodded. "You are so so brave"Lily smiled gently. 

"Ct is ready"Penelope smiled, FP looked at her as she at him. She didn't like him much.But the child was innocent. 

The small girl was taken as Alice stayed back with Fp.

"A doctor"He questioned gently she nodded. "Didn't think i'd see your face around again"She smiled putting on fresh gloves. moving the the computer. "She will go to x ray them she'll be back"Alice smile again. "South side serpents"She asked refering to his jacket, he gulped.

"A gang i am in. They think we are all bad but we aren't"He tried to justify. "Its none of my business. You don't seem like a gang type"He chuckled "Long story Al"he realised what he'd done, but she hadn't corrected him. "Everyone has their own story Fp"She looked up at him with a bright smile. 

It took a long half hour before Lily returned. Penelope by her side. "You okay"Penelope asked Alice referring to Fp. He grunted as Alice frowned. "Why wouldn't i be"She rook herself to Lily's bedside. She took a look at the results and sighed "You my darling have broken your leg and on the other side fractured your ankle. I will have to cast them both unfortunately. "FP nodded 

The young girl chose pink and purple for her cast, she was casted up and bandaged. "The head injury was nothing to worry about i have glued that for you, her legs are casted. I will prescribe pain relief but i am happy if you are"She looked up at Fp. "I'm happy to take her home."He smiled.

"Okay i will get the papers"Her smile was radiant as she left the room, his gaze tight on her. 

"Alice please sign my cast"Lily asked. Alice nodded grabbing a black marker pen writing Alice with a love heart. 

Within the next half hour they had left, Leaving Alice in a daze.

"I like her daddy"Lily smiled.
