*At pops dinner*

"You shouldn't talk to him, he's a piece of work"Penelope uttered, Alice frowned "He seems like a lovely guy"Penelope laughed "Fp Jones, Lovely? she practically laughed in Alice's face.

Her eyes rolled gently, he had shown her nothing but kindness. "Penelope please"Alice sighed. 

"His wife is a murderer, she murdered my husband. Not long ago. She got life for it but he defended her"

It was tragic to hear, only 5-6 months ago Gladys Jones walked down a dark side street late at night, she had a secret job, prostitution, she took him as a client, but he wasn't there for that.He was there awaiting Cheryl as she was at a party. She stabbed him, 18 times before running away, evacuating the scene. Sadly for her CCTV caught the attack.

Of course Fp tried to help her. They had a newborn child. 

"They have kids together, it was his duty"Alice looked and Penelope smiled

"You are so innocent Alice, but the gang, they are bad, we always get there children and people bought in after gang rivalry fights. Its never going to change. Serpent means snake, they are all snakes"Alice nodded, leaving Penelope behind. 

Soon before she knew it she was home, on her sofa watching the lion king, Oreo on her lap, the dogs on the soft grey rug. Her phone in her hand.

"Hi mum"Alice smiled "My girl how are you"Tracey asked 

"Tired work was long, i need your opinion on something"The blonde placed her lemonade down as her mum moved to get comfy. 

"There is a guy, i don't like him in that way i have only met him a few times, he has 2 daughters his ex wife is in jail, he seems so kind, caring and gentle, But there are so  many rumours about him, he's in a gang i know that , but they say bad things about him, they all do everyone but i don't know what to believe"she let out a long steady breathe.

"My advice to you darling is ignore them, if you see good then embrace that good, maybe there is a past but as long as you see it don't let anyone tell you different"Tracey smiled, "Thanks mum"The women wrapped up the conversation, Alice moved oreo, threw on a bikini and went for a swim. 

"Nanny she was so nice to me, she let me choose the colour of my casts and she wrote on it"Lily beamed after they arrived back. Lily had a wheel chair as she had casts on both legs. 

"You say it was the woman from the park"Rose smiled, Lily nodded. "She is so pretty and nice"Rose chuckled down. "You are a clever one"

"How is she"Fp asked holding Sofia in his arms, the whole bar had heard her talking about Alice. "She's in love with Alice"Toni smiled Fp felt his cheeks flush. "We met her on a walk she recognised her"He felt some kind of happy as she raved about her. 

"She has beautiful blue eyes i rememeber that"Rose had seen her at the hospital.

The rest of the day the girl raved about her doctor. 

But for Alice her relaxing evening was taking a turn as her mum flashed across her screen.

"mumma"She answered the calling wrapping a towel around her body.

"Ali i didn't want to tell you before honey, but i found a lump, one on my neck one on my breast they are hard and aren't causing pain. But i am having some tests, they think i may have cancer"The word spluttered out of her mouth filled with upset and hurt. 

"Mum i am so sorry, do you need anything, do you want me to have the girls"She questioned

"Darling i can't do that or ask for that"Alice sighed at her mother. "I will book them tickets.Can anyone sit with them"She asked
