Changes within (Falace)

Saturday morning dawned upon the town. Alice awoke early, Amelia by her side playing with Biscuit and Treacle.

"Pancakes"Alice questioned sleepily to which the young girl shook her head "pops"She babbled, the blonde rolled her eyes. 

"Come on princess"Alice tapped her bum standing up. Peaking out the window, it was cold November. The sky was full of fluffy depressed clouds.

Alice didn't want to revert to joggers and jeans so she pulled on thick black tights to match her mid thigh length front button up blue and beige plaid dress and black ankle boots.

Amelia copied her sister with what she wore, she had thick black tights with a long sleeved beige and black plaid dress that had a peter pan collar. She also had an accessory, her favourite teddy, Thumper the bunny from bambi.

Alice French braided her hair into 2 separate braids.

"Beautiful"Alice kissed the top of her head. "What do you want to do today Amelia"Alice asked gently as she fed the animals. "Pops"Alice giggled " we are going pops but where after"The girl stopped for a second and shrugged. 

Alice decided they'd make the day up as they go along. She made sure the animals had all been fed, double checked all windows were locked and alarms were set before leaving the house,locking it and checking it again.

Alice had put the carseat in the front beside her, normally she wouldn't do that but she liked keeping her close.

"pops,pops,pops"The girl clapped her hands as dread rushed through Alice's body, seeing his blue car and the motor bikes. 

She ignored it as best as she could, holding Amelia's hand, they pushed the doors open, the bell dinging as they entered.

"Is that Alice"Sweet pea questioned looking at Fp,Lily, Toni, Sofie, Fangs, Bear and Rose. 

"It is"Lily beamed jumping. Fp's eyes winded hearing his child shout her name. "Aliceee"Lily who was now out of casts ran over, hugging Alice's leg,

"Hey fighter, you can run now"The girl nodded.  "I'm glad your better"Lily said smartly "I miss you"She added before running back to the table. 

"For goodness sake Fp grown up"Rose hit is hand

"What"He grunted, trying not to watch her. 

He was thankful when she sat tables away from them.

"I miss mummy"Amelia cried slightly, Something was going on back at home. Something Alice couldn't pin point.

She held her closely."Its okay A" All she could do was kiss her head and keep her safe.

"Fp,talk to her"Bear gestured "No,i can't, its been 2 months"He looked at her then to the table, to Toni. 

"We let her down"He sighed.  All of them jumping at once when they heard a scream.

"MUMMY"Amelia screamed as loudly as she could, stood before them was Tracey Smith, and a boy, Joseph. 

"Mum"Alice stood in shock. Her family matters at full display.

"My baby"Tracey held her arms out as Alice held onto her tightly.  The girl could see the sadness on her brothers face. 

"I'll take Amelia"He nodded to which Alice frowned "She hasn't eaten her food is coming"The boy sighed taking the child across the restaurant.

"See, you are staring"Toni rolled her eyes as did Rose. Fp huffed. "Stop"his voice hard. Still watching her. 

He watched as Alice and her mum sat down together. 

Tracey clamped Alice's hands in hers. 

"Baby, i had some tests done. The chemo is working, the cancer is going"Alice smiled but her happiness was short lived. "Its your sister baby, Charlotte, she fell sick around 7 weeks ago, remember. We had the tests done. She has stage 4 brain cancer Al, she has around 3-9 months left, we've been missing the signs for a very long time" Alice's heart crumbled, it ached. A sob left her mouth in seconds, the pain became overwhelming. All she could do was go. She rushed out of pops all eyes on her. 

"Fp, go"Rose kicked his leg "She won't want me there ma"He sighed. 

"Amelia baby come here,Joseph"He nodded and went to his sister. Toni couldn't resist.

"Mrs Smith right"She asked standing up. "Toni"Amelia smiled. "Is she okay"gesturing to Alice.

"She just needs support. She's not as tough as she seems"Toni frowned slightly but nodded.

Sunday came quickly. Fp and the others were all at the park, on a surprisingly warm day. Hotdog laying down, his tongue hanging out. He had her on his mind.

He couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Fp,what even happened with you both, you spent 3 weeks together"Bear questioned.

"We kissed, alot the first 3 days,shared a bed the whole time. I don't know something got to me and i distanced from her. Stopped kissing her. She'd try, she'd snuggle up to me. I'd try push her away but gave in. Then when she left she tried to kiss me i pushed her away, she messaged me, about a week after saying she missed me and she's sorry. I never messaged back"Rose's Pea's Toni and Fangs' eyes all opened widely. 

"You are telling me you pushed her away. She was fully into you and you fobbed her off"Toni sat in shock, he scoffed "You stopped seeing her too"She laughed "I have school duhhh"

"I feel bad because she told me she was falling for me. The morning after our first kiss, i told her i wouldn't hurt her. Now she can't even look at me"

"Fp, you are a major dick. You lost her and she's fucking hot. Not just that, she accepted us all for who we are then we all pushed her away. She chose us. We were all she had here"Pea spoke,bringing a realisation to them all.

"Oh my god, she did, she chose us. And then all of us left. She had no one"Toni's face dropped. Fp gulped. Even more guilt running through his body when he saw her, when they all saw her.
