"Ma...pa....i wish you were here. I need you guys. I am at verge of my breaking point. Its like my humanity is at its last straws. What i have done. I am feared. I am called the devil. I used to be the happy virus of this family but i became the terror for everyone in this town".
Yibo cried kneeling in front if the potrait of their family picture. His mother, his father, his elder sister, his brothers everyone. When darkness subsided in yibo everytime he ended up right here on his knees. Praying for forgiveness but he had no control over his darkness. The demon inside him was way powerful than him to control. But past few days, he didn't do anything the demons tried to make him do. Why??? He had no idea.
But he was still willing to do anything to stop then now. If they could be halted for these past few days it meant there was something new happening and he just has to figure it out.
Yibo wipes his tears away and stands up again. He looks at hos family portrait as if looking at it for last time as if making a promise that he will return here but not as a demon in people fear but as a guardian people love. He will come here not to cry for forgiveness but to see the the proud look in his parents eyes.
"I promise, that I will change the legacy of mine. That I will change the fear into love. I will care for what god bestowed upon me with my life. Now its family forever. No more blood will flowing for revenge".
Yibo leaves the dark room and goes back to his room calling for maids and guards.
"Take out my king gown i wore for my coronation. Release order that there is a new coronation in palace. And everyone is invited from immortals to mortals and every other supernatural being, but make sure they know its a friendly invitation and there won't be any enemy or foe here today. Its time i take my duties and my thrown's responsibilities seriously. There won't be any bloodshed its my blood promise to every soul out there".
Yibo goes to his bathroom to take bath. Dipped in milk and hot water cleansed of dirt in his body, he pledges with every dip to cleanse his soul of its sins likewise too.
Coming out, he is dressed in his white coronation gown. Accessories pinned to his ears and eyes are removed. He completely changes from rouge king to king of his clan.
Preparation are being done. The whole palace is decorated like its a wedding. Stairs from where the royal Family will ascend is covered in rose petals. Everyone is confused about this. Why coronation suddenly. Is king yibo retiring and whose the new king?
Soon the priest came who had the crown of king with him. He placed it on the cushioned stand and waited for the arrangement to be complete. As the sun went down, people started gathering in the palace, there were many supernatural beings as well as humans. Though humans were less in number considering the fact that basically they were blood banks till now, they were skeptical if this was another way of luring them in.
Few hours later,
"Yibo, what's in your mind? Why sudden coronation? Are you giving the throne up? And to whom? Who is this new king you will be appointing? Do we know him? Brother you didn't even discuss it with us? How can you decide such a big decision by yourself?"
Haikuan was really worried. He was wondering the same thing the humans were. what if this was another way of luring humans in and then preying upon them.
"Yibo if this is one of your stunts you pull, you stop this right now. Or one day people will stop believing in you or your words for ever".
"Ge, i want you trust me from now on. I know i have done things that are unforgivable and no matter how many excuses i give, that won't correct my mistake, but all i can do is ask fir forgiveness and make amends and to prove it i am giving you permission to date you human love openly. Bring him here as you like and i would want to be the part of my niece or nephew. I am sorry ge, having your own home you had to put your love in brothel. But now it won't be necessary you don't have to hide".
Yibo kneeled in-front Haikuan, seriously showing his sincerity about the forgiveness. Haikuan was shocked when he saw his brother, the egotistical bastard till now was kneeling infront of him. Haikuan pick him up by shoulders and hugged him tightly. He smiled that finally Yibo understood that the throne of king is not meant for revenge but for protecting the people.
"I am more than happy to say this that i am proud of you brother. I don't know who is responsible for this change, but i am relieved that there is something that is making you realize what being a king means. I am always here to support you and win over the power of crown".
Yibo nodded feeling lucky that atleast his brother is supporting him after all he did. Then he remembered about his brother's fling. He looked at his brother and realized why he brother was always telling him that one day he will regret it. Guess it meant this. My mistakes.
Yibo and Haikuan left the room and met with all the others waiting outside.
"All of you who i have wronged in many ways i ask for apology. Today will be marked birth of new me. A new king fir the people no matter the status. Lets go".
Yibo was about to leave when he stopped and looked back again. He frowned and searched for certain someone. When his eyes couldn't find that certain person with beautiful smile and pale skin he looked at guards and asked them.
"Where is my bride? Why isn't he present in royal family".
"Sire, we didn't knew who to include and whom not to and we didn't wanna make you angry so we didn't call his majesty. If you want to call him, we can immediately go and deliver the message".
Yibo thought for a while about what to say. He didn't wanna come off rude. He wanted to make amends with zhan and only way was to show that he is ready to change.
"No, there's no need. I will personally go and get him. Meanwhile i request my whole family to please proceed towards the hall. I will be there shortly".
Yibo immediately leaves them and goes towards the concubine palace. Expecting to be forgiven and make amends he takes every step towards his room.
