Yibo rushed jiyang to medical center where they had hired the best doctors in the world, to make sure their family doesn't suffer in hands of amateurs or negligent doctors. Houxuan was hard to control especially when he was feeling his mate mark burn every second.
Doctors requested everyone to step out of the room so they can start treatment. When the doors were closed everyone was in state of panic or shock. They didn't know how to help houxuan or jiyang and could only wait. Yibo after making sure that jiyang was getting well deserved treatment, he rushed towards his own chamber where he assumed meng ning had taken zhan. He didn't inform anyone that xiao zhan was also among many others injured tonight. He couldn't help but have thought that how his one invitation to humans turned a whole peaceful event into a havoc.
He opened the door to the palace and rushed toward the room he believed meng ning to be in. When he opened the door, he covered his nose immediately and left the room. The room was filled with stench of blood, particularly zhan's blood. He waited for few seconds before going in. He was trying his best to hold his hunger because it had been two days since he had blood and he couldn't drink any other blood but only zhan's blood.
Meng ning who was looking out for any lurking danger when saw yibo's eyes flickering from red to normal, he understood what was going on. He knew nature of vampires very clearly and right now, his mommy's husband himself was a threat to him. So meng ning, cast a spell of protection and barrier between them and yibo. Yibo when lost control he lost the access to the room too. Meng ning wasn't scared of yibo but he knew how zhan was. His eyes always held this unspeakable fear whenever yibo was near it was due to this.
Yibo was beating his fist at the invisible barrier. His rational mind not thinking at all. His eyes had turned red completely and he looked like he could kill anybody in his way. Meng ning shut the door again before going back to treating zhan who was bleeding still. Meng ning was doing spell to heal zhan but it wasn't working because he wasn't sure about the spell. He never learned how to use all the spells. He only knew what meng ziyi taught him for her benefit.
"MENG NING OPEN THIS DOOR. I SWEAR IF YOU DO ANYTHING WITH MY BRIDE I WILL KILL YOU AND ANY OF YOUR FUTURE GENERATIONS".
Contrary to what yibo said, meng ning was actually trying to help zhan. But yibo's irrational thinking made him think opposite. Meng ning had enough of this king tantrum and he knew if not now then it will be too late. He threw open the door and looked at yibo straight in eyes before screaming at him.
"You peice of trashy king, few hours ago you were giving a speech about being protective of humans but you can't even control your blood lust how do you expect humans to believe you. Seeing blood you are showing your true nature in seconds. You have no control over yourself. And I don't have time. I can't lose him. So you better set your act right till then i will keep doing this".
Meng ning, started chanting in foreign language and yibo bent down on his knees. He started screaming in pain. And blood started coming out of his eyes. Meng ning raised his hands slowly and along with them yibo started to raise from ground too. He soon was hanging upside down in air. Blood started flowing out from his mouth and pool on the floor. Soon yibo gained back his control and himself more hungry but the lack of blood from the body made him unable to move and fell to the ground but atleast he was in senses again.
"Me..ng. Ning ......zhan?"
"Well finally........he is getting pale and his bleeding is not stopping. So you better get up and get some doctors in here to heal your mate and oh if you want live and not die from hunger not literally but still".
Meng ning explained why yibo needed to be in control of his senses. Yibo was acting like a beast and he needed to be in his right mind to access the situation on their hands. No doubt if he hadn't blood bonded with zhan, then today's attack would turn into blood bath just like the attackers wanted but it didn't.
Meng ning bought zhan's half conscious body infront of the gate and show it to yibo.
"See for yourself!!!! Your mate you just tried to attack is on verge of death. He needs treatment and i am no healer. You have to get the doctors down here hefore you loose him forever. Get that in your head and it will lead you".
Yibo finally woke up from trance and even though he was out of energy he still wasn't down for good. He got up grunting as he felt his body swaying due to blood loss.
Meng ning knew he had give yibo some blood of zhan or he won't be able to help properly. He chanted spell and opened his palm. A dagger appeared and it had magical power. It could cut but the cut would heal automatically once your purpose is fulfilled. Before using it though you need to whisper near the dagger about what its gonna be used for.
"I command you to draw the blood of mighty human who is mate of the almighty vampire king. Just f ounces and then you close it".
Once he was done, he held zhan on his arm and taking his palm on his hand he cut a deep wound on his palm before taking a cup in the room and filling it to brim with zhan's blood. He thrusts it in yibo hands and tells him to gulp it down.
"Gulp it and you will replenish your energy enough to get the doctors down here. Go NOW".
One yibo finished the cup he felt like energy boost throughout his body and he felt like a new born. He immediately got up to his feet running back to medical wing. Once he reached there, he saw hoaxuan talking to the doctor and by looks of it, everything was stable now that means doctors were free to go to zhan's aid.
"All the best doctors here, move to my palace. My bride has been injured and in serious need of medical attention. We don't have enough time, so get going already. Haoxuan, i will be back to check on jiyang once i make sure zhan is safe".
Yibo and doctors run towards kings palace and reach just in time to see meng ning trying his best to keep zhan under control before he looses his life.
"Fucking finally. Its almost time we lost him. If it hadn't been for me, he would have already gone. Don't waste time standing there, help him".
Everyone got to work and meng ning and wang yibo were requested to leave the room for them to work properly without being nervous or having trembles in their hands. Meng ning had to drag a very stubborn yibo out of the room.
