Wang yibo hesitated for first time in his life to do something. Standing in front of the door, still in his thoughts contemplating whether to do this or not. Bringing out his concubine in front of his people, meant only one thing, that he is accepting him/her as his official bride fir eternity. In history, yibo never boought out his last concubines because he never felt anything for them rather on contrary it was quite opposite of what was happening today.
Yibo finally took the courage of knocking on the door but instead of seeing zhan on the door he was met with a footwear on his face when he opened the door. Well he knew that that certainly wasn't zhan.
Yibo gave an annoyed look to the intruder who was peacefully laying down on zhan's lap while zhan was watching them and was trying really hard not to laugh. Yibo glared at Meng ning wnd grunted when again he tried to enter the room but wasn't able to. It was like there was a barrier infront of him right now and he can't step in.
He tried numerous times but all the attempts were failed. Zhan and ning kept giggling at his futile efforts because it was a barrier setup by shadow witch which was impenetrable. So when yibo finally gave up and looked at zhan as if pleading to let him in, it was then that the barrier disappeared.
"I know i have wronged you in many ways and i am not saying I wont harm you in future, that's something i have no control over bit i want to say that i will try to tame myself and try my best to not be the reason of your tears again. Please give me a chance to redeem myself. And you can give me the answer by coming to my coronation ceremony right now".
Yibo kept praying that zhan agrees and comes with him. He really wanted zhan to be the part of this and see how he is trying to make amends with everyone and everything. To make zhan believe that he really is trying to change.
Zhan sighed. He really can't deny that even though he is trying to hate wang yibo for creating choas in his life and turning it upside down, he can't. Even when he lost his baby and should be crying and cursing yibo for even trying to come here and ask him to accompany when they lost their baby just now, he can't. Instead he find himself nodding to him.
"Well i will leave you and take meng ning, with me so you can get ready. I will wait for you outside".
Yibo left the room and forcefully took ning with him who wasn't complying at all instead he wanted to stay.
"What you stay here inside my bride's room while he is changing. No way in hell. Come on get out of here".
"So what? I am always here. He is my mother. Why can't i be with my mother all the time".
"Mother!!!!!you.....how dare you?? Do you know the meaning of this? I will kill you??".
Yibo was about to advance at him when xiao zhan opened the door and came out and wang yibo's hand was stuck in air and his jaw dropped when he saw xiao zhan dressed like a king's concubine looking ethereal and out of earth. He was like a goddess dressed in silk robes of white and pink, his hair styled with rose tucked in the bun.
"My mommy is beautiful......my mummy is beautiful.....".
Meng ning kept repeating same words and wang yibo was short of words. Xiao zhan was blushing with yibo's intense gaze on him. Yibo finally came out of it and looked at meng ning in annoyance. He was about to retort back when xiao zhan stopped him telling him not to stop meng ning and he will explain later.
If yibo really wanted to change then he needed to prove it to zhan and that's what exactly will zhan test.
They both started walking towards the ceremony venue and meng ning much to yibo's annoyance followed them or to be in particular followed xiao zhan.
Everyone's eyes were stuck at zhan as he entered along with the king and followed with many guards and eunuchs. Flowers we're scattered on ground like a path and zhan yibo walked on it with yibo. Everyone bowed to his majesty and her bride. Once they walked to the stage and sat, everyone was told to get up and start the ceremony.
The priest came forward with the crown held in his hand. He told yibo to the his oath in front of all his people.
"I know i have been a fear to all of you especially humans. After my sisters death i was filled with rage. And i wanted revenge but I didn't realize when I started enjoying it. But then a human suddenly made me realize how wrong i was. So i pledge my loyalty to all of you that from onwards no human in my territory, under my protection will be harmed. If anyone tries to defy my rule and try to harm my people will directly challenge me. So i wang yibo as you king promises you that i will protect you all with my life and every human or supernatural creature will like hand in hand in my land".
Everyone clapped and cheered after the oath for wang yibo. After the ceremony, everyone was ushered to enjoy the evening ball in celebration of coronation. Every thing was going smoothly and people were dancing and drinking. The peaceful truce between vampires and humans was restored. Nobody was looking at each other with fear or anger.
Everyone was drunk and nobody cared about anything. None noticed around what was happening. Suddenly the arrows were shot in the ballroom and many vampires and few others started falling.
Choas was bound to happen. People started running here and there tryinh to find the exit but they couldn't it was blocked and arrows kept flying. Fews arrows passed wang yibo by inch but he always was able to avoid them. He was trying to avoid them that he didn't notice one arrow coming directly at him from back. Xiao zhan saw it and tried to warn yibo but there was no time and he jumped infront of the arrow. The arrow hit him in shoulder and went through. Zhan screMed in pain and fell down and yibo turned back to see him and saw blood seeping through the wound in speed. He tried to pick him up and take him away but the arrows kept coming and he couldn't move a foot. There was only one way now that zhan could be saved.
"Meng ning, HELP HIM. Help the one you call mother. The arrows won't stop but you have the power to disappear from here do it, take him to a safe place in the palace but not in concubine palace. Take him to my palace. You will be safe there. Protect him GO".
Meng ning picked xiao zhan and transformed into his shadow form and lept into shadows wothout being noticed. Once yibo was sure they were at safe distance, he didn't waste time to grab his sword and lept into fight.
"Everyone kill them. Leave no one. Its an order. Those who don't know how to fight, find shelter NOW".
Every guard and supernatural creatures started hunting down the attackers but these attackers were not mere hunters they were professionally trained one. They fought with them and seeing opportunity they killed whosoever they could.
They were busy fighting when suddenly, yibo heard jiyang's cry. They all looked around to find him but no one could see. Hoaxuan's mind got off fighting and he started looking for jiyang.
"Yibo ge, help me".
Jiyang was a held in air by his hair by a hunter and blade was on his heart.
"Leave all my men and i will leave him alive one more injured he will be cut into pieces by me infront of all".
The head of the attackers had jiyang and he threatened to kill. Hoaxuan was getting restless. He could feel the pain of his mate but he was stuck here. He didn't want to risk his mate's life.
"Leave all of them. Get away from all the attackers. NOW".
Everyone got away from the hunters and they separated and ran towards the door of the ballroom. The leader too took leverage of jiyang and went towards the gate. They all held their breath and waited for him to leave jiyang.
Just when the leader came near the gate, he smirked and looked in eye of yibo before plunging the knife into jiyang's back. The knife had vervain laced on it and when it plunged deep in jiyang, he fell on floor, with blood gushing out.
The leader fled from the room. Yibo and hoaxuan, ran towards jiyang.
Jiyang gave something to yibo a letter and closed his eyes. His hand fell at his sides.
