Chapter 31 - The Αlliance

Jina's pov:

-"Jina the Alpha wants to speak to you. He is waiting for you in the guest room" one of the guards informed me as I was sunbathing next to the pool. I like sunbathing and swimming in the pool and since no one comes here I enjoy it to the fullest. I am not going to change my habits just because Maximus preferred that idiot to be his Luna.

-"I thought he had left. Anyway, tell him I'll be there in ten minutes" I replied and the guard left.

I knew it! In the end he could not stay away from me. That minion can't give him what he wants. She isn't like me. She is absolutely stiff, cold and indifferent. By trying to look decent, you do not gain a place in a man's bed, especially if this man is Maximus! Poor girl how much I feel sorry for you, not! Ha ha ha....

But why he preferred to send me a guard instead of mind linking me? And why does he want to meet me in the guest's room? Oh maybe it is one of his usual roleplay games. Oh! How much I've missed them! How much I've missed him! If I act cleverly I would become the new Luna and cast away this social climber once and for all!

I put on my pareo and headed to the guest room. My swimsuit was very revealing as always. I know why he called me and my hottest performance is what he's gonna get. I'll make him loose his mind for me!

I knocked on the door but I heard nothing from inside, so I decided to enter. The room was dark. I turned on the lights and scanned the area. I was a bit disappointed when I saw no one. I thought that Maximus was at the bathroom or he didn't speak purposely in order to surprise me when I got in. But unfortunately nothing of these happened. "Maybe Maximus haven't come yet" I told myself. I took off my pareo and lay down on the bed waiting for him. Ten minutes have passed without any sign of him.

"Maybe it was a joke the guards have thought of, to make fun of me. When I find this idiot I will make him pay for his insolence." I was furious and ready to leave the room, when footsteps were heard from outside. My heart started pounding. Α light of hope shone within me. It wasn't a scam! He was here! He wanted to be with me! He couldn't stay away from me any longer. I stroke my most sensual pose and waited for him facing the door. Maximus had finally come. "Maybe he was busy and late," I said to myself. When the door opened instead of Maximus, another man entered the room. He was of medium height with dark hair and brown eyes. I didn't know him but I was sure I had seen him before, but where?

The man approached the bed and I put on my pareo. He looked at me upside down with lustful eyes and gave me a very promising smirk. He wore black pants and a white shirt. He was handsome and looked nice.

-"You are a very sexy woman" he said to me cockily.

-" This is not the first time a man has said this to me" Ι said confidently.

-"Ι bet it isn't. Beauty must be admired and recognized. And you my dear are absolutely stunning. Maximus was an idiot to let you go."

-"Thanks I guess. Now you must go. I am waiting for someone and he mustn't see you here with me. I suppose you understand".

-"Relax. Nothing is going to happen".

-"How are you so sure? You do not know him. He can be very aggressive when he gets angry".

-"I am sure because the man you are waiting is no other than me" he said confidently looking at me straight in the eyes.

-"You?!! You have to be kidding me! How is this possible? "

-"I was the one who sent the guard to tell you that I was waiting for you".

-"No, the guard was definite. He said the Alpha was waiting for me, the Alpha , not you."

-"Maximus is not the only Alpha in the world. In case you didn't notice, I am an Alpha too".

-"Oh..I didn't know. Why did you invite me here? What do you want from me?"

-"I want to make a proposal to you, Ι can tell a very advantageous one".

-"What kind of proposal?" I wondered.

-"I want you to help me separate Maximus from Adelina and eventually destroy him."

-"If I help you what will I gain?"

He looked at me and made a very sardonic laugh. "But it is very obvious, Maximus will be all yours".

-"And what will you gain from this? Do you want that usurper for yourself?"

-"I will see Maximus fall and take his place here. That's all I want and I will have it if you help me."

-"Then why help you? I do not care about Maximus. I was with him because I wanted to be the Luna. He is an arrogant, selfish, phallocrat pig. I do not give a damn about him. But if Maximus fall I won't be able to be Luna."

-"If the only thing you want is to be Luna then I'll make you my Luna. You are very beautiful and sexy. I would be fool if I didn't see it".

-"Αnd who guarantees me that you will do it when you take Maximus' place?"

-"If you want I can do it right now. I am already an Alpha."

-"Which is your pack?"

-"The Crescent Moon pack."

-"Crescent Moon pack, I am sure I have heard about it before....Oh! Isn't it the bitch's old pack?" I asked him in surprise.

-"Beautiful but with poor language" he said menacingly and came closer to me.

-"I meant isn't this Adelina's old pack?" Ι reformed.

-"That's better. Yes it is" he replied.

-"And why do you want to separate them? Are you also in love with her?" I asked him angrily. I can't see what they find in this woman and everyone gets so excited with her."

-"No, how could I? I am her brother after all" he answered completely disgusted.

-"Her brother? It doesn't make any sense. If you are her brother why do you want to destroy her?"

-" Who said I want to destroy Adelina? I want to destroy Maximus and get her away from this monster."

-"Why? Next to Maximus your sister will become the Queen of all werewolves."

-"Maximus would never be king as long as I live. Besides, I know they're not a real couple despite their appearance as such. I know what he'd done to her. I know all about the rejection, the imprisonment, the bad behavior. The only thing that I can't figure out is why he made her his Luna and how he convinced her to do it.''

-"I can't help you with this. All I know is that one day he came to me and told me he wanted to break up with me so he can present Adelina as his Luna, which he eventually did" I explained to him sadly.

-"All I want from you is your help. You can tell me a lot about him. You must know all his secrets and weaknesses and you will be paid as we agree, unless of course you change your mind and decide to take money instead of being my Luna. I can give you a fortune".

-"How are you going to do that? As far as I know your pack is too small. You can't even afford my tastes" I told him derogatorily.

-"All I can tell you right now is that I am not alone. Behind me are very strong and powerful people who despise Maximus as much as I do. You will only benefit if you agree to work for us. But if you betray us, the punishment for you will be unbearable" he said sternly.

-"I see".

-"So what's your answer?"

-"My answer is yes. I do not have anything to lose after all" I replied decisively.
