A/N: Diane didn't do any of the stuff from the film, and Chloe is away at college. Also, Mama is meant as a term of endearment, the same way you'd use baby or sweetheart, not that she's actually her mother.

She stood with her elbows leaned on the counter, chin resting on her right hand and head slightly tilted. The cafe was relatively full, but nobody was waiting in line, so she took the opportunity to admire the auburn-haired woman seated a few tables away. She traced each of her features with her eyes over and over, admired the way the sun shone on her, almost like a spotlight, and tried her best to never forget how serene and beautiful the woman looked in that moment. The woman's eyes flicked over to the barista, and they shared warm smiles when their gazes met.

"Eris!" a deep voice boomed, dragging her from her moment with the customer. She spun on her heel to look at the man behind her.

"What, Jonas?" she groaned with an eye roll. Eris crossed her arms over her chest, raising her brows at her best friend.

"You're so smitten. Diane has you wrapped around her little finger, doesn't she?" he asked with a smirk. Eris rolled her eyes again.

"No..." she started before taking a peek over her shoulder at the woman. "Okay, maybe."

"Ha, I knew it. You should take her home, Eris, she's been here most of your shift."

"I can't, I still have another hour before I can leave," she pointed out, shaking her head slightly. Jonas chuckled.

"I'll cover you, babe. Go," Jonas instructed, patting her shoulder and walking away. A wide smile spread across her face, and she shouted a 'thank you' as she stripped off her apron and hung it up. She walked over to Diane's table and slid herself onto the woman's lap, disrupting her focus on the book she was reading.

"Hey, sweetheart. What are you doing? I thought you had to work until five," she said, laying the book on the table. Eris pecked her lips before answering.

"Jonas is covering the end of my shift so we can go home," Eris replied excitedly, making Diane laugh. The young woman stuck out her bottom lip in a fake pout. "Why are you laughing? I can just go back to work if you don't wanna go home," she said, starting to get off Diane's lap.

"Oh, no you don't. Come back here," the auburn-haired woman said as grabbed Eris by the waist and pulled her back onto her lap. "I was laughing because it's cute how excited you are to go home, sweet pea."

"I know. I was just playing with you, Diane. Let's go." Eris stood up and took Diane's hand and practically dragged her to the car. She opened the passenger door for her, bending down to give her another kiss before closing it and walking around to the driver's side. She climbed in and started the car before she reached over and put her hand on Diane's thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze. They drove home in comfortable quiet, music from the radio played just loud enough to be heard. "Stay there," Eris instructed once they arrived. She jumped out of the car and raced to the other side to open the door for her again and took her hand to help her out.

"Thank you. Such a gentleman," Diane teased, kissing her cheek and lacing their fingers. Eris giggled and shook her head; she was so happy to be home that she was practically skipping to the front door. The pair walked through the door together and into their shared bedroom. Eris wrapped her arms around Diane's waist and slid her hands in the back pockets of the woman's jeans.

"I'm gonna take a shower, Mama, if you wanna join me," she whispered against her lips, smiling wildly. Diane chuckled and pressed one last kiss to her lips before pulling away, shaking her head lightly.
