The news of Handy Manny being in love with Kelly Crenshaw seemed to spread like wildfire all through Manny's neighbourhood, thanks to the loudmouth that Mr Lopart was. His siblings, Reuben and Lola, and Abuelito visited him to enquire about the matter.
"Your horoscope was right," said Lola. "Why did you not tell us before?"
"I knew about you, though I wasn't sure," said Abuelito. "At my wedding..."
"I know, Abuelito. Please," said Manny.
Reuben patted Manny's back. "Is it a case of not being ready for a relationship?"
"No," said Manny. "But I wonder if that's the case with Kelly. What if she isn't prepared?"
"But she loves you for sure," said Abuelito.
Manny felt comforted. But something amazing happened after his family members had left.
The afternoon turned into evening as the sun set, making the sky don on a lovely pink glow.
Mrs Alvarez showed up with a malfunctioning toaster, and Manny fixed it almost immediately. Just as he decided to sit down and relax, he heard a ting of the bell.
In walked Kelly, dressed in a midnight blue dress.
