Summer had arrived.
Everyone in town was running for Mr Lopart's new 'Cool Treats'. Manny often took Kelly on dates to the beach, and being a holiday time, Pepe, Chico and the other kids were everywhere. Reuben often came over to relax his limbs.
"Manny, have you ever dated anyone before?" Kelly asked him on one of their dates.
Manny shook his head. "Have you? Anyone will go crazy for a beautiful, amazing girl like you."
"No," replied Kelly bashfully.
"Veo," said Manny. "Kelly, can I ask you a question?"
"Yeah, you can. Ask me whatever you want."
"How is it like being the elder child in your family?" asked Manny. "You know that I'm the youngest in mine, and as far as I remember, Reuben and Lola used to nurse me when our parents weren't at home."
"Well, I had to nurse Elliot. Usually, the elder child has to be the responsible one, because they are 'the role model for the younger ones', my grandmother used to say."
Manny nodded. Both of them cuddled for sometime, until he looked at his watch.
"Oh, it's six o'clock! I have to get back to the shop, Kelly. Shall we go?"
"Sure Manny," said his girlfriend.
He dropped Kelly home and went to his shop.
When he entered, he saw Flicker running amok, and the other tools chasing him. "What's going on here?" asked Manny, confused.
"Manny, Flicker saw a dragonfly and got scared," explained Dusty.
Manny took the flashlight. "Flicker, no te preocupes. Dragonflies aren't scary."
Flicker snuggled up to Manny.
"It's okay. Eres solo un bebe." he comforted Flicker. Soon, the flashlight fell asleep.
"When someone is in panic, comfort them gently, okay Dusty?" said Manny.
The handsaw agreed.
