Please enjoy and I'm sorry for all mistakes, im writing at midnight :)
"You lot will not believe what I found while I was cleaning the other day," Nikki said, a huge smile was apparent on her face. Her arms were behind her back which you could obviously tell she was hiding something. "Look!" She said, placing a large scrap book on the Holland family dinner table.
You smiled up at the red haired woman, giving her a quizzical look. Tom looked at you a bit confused and then back at his mother.
"What is it," he laughed, looking at the red picture book a bit confused.
"A scrapbook silly, it was from when you were around 5. That's when you and y/n met."
A smile crept to your lips, excited to see the pictures of your childhood. "Oh my god, can I see them." You asked, putting your hands on the cover of the book.
"Of course," she said, sitting down to enjoy dinner with the rest of her family, "that's why I brought it out. I was actually surprised of how many pictures of you both were in there." Her eyes drifted between you and Tom who was sitting beside you.
You and Tom had met as children at the park. Ever since you had been insuperable. All of the Hollands were ecstatic when Tom finally brought you home and introduced you as his girlfriend and no longer his friend. His family knew that you both had feelings for each other but were nervous nothing was going to happen.
You slowly opened the red scrapbook afraid it was overly fragile. The first picture was of you, Tom, and the twins as mere infants at a duck pond. "I remember this, you kept saying 'Birdie chicken eat it, eat it,'" you giggled, turning your head to show your boyfriend the picture of him as a child. (Fun fact: when I was little my mom had a cockatoo named Tommy and I used to think he was a chicken and would go, "Tommy chicken eat it, eat it!")
The next few pictures were pretty simple, some of tom pushing you on a swing at the park, both of you doing funny faces, tom with his little arm around your shoulder, and some of you at a swimming pool.
"Jeez we were so young," Tom joked, leaning in to kiss your cheek. You smiled and flipped the page once again and were met by the cutest picture you had ever seen.
You and Tom weren't much only than five years old. He was down on one knee with a giant blue raspberry ring pop held up towards you.
"Oh my god, I remember that! Tom you just had to get two ring pops at......." Toms eyes widened as his mom began to tell the story.
"Not now,"
"Tell the story! Come on tell the story!" Paddy cheered from across the table. The rest of the family looked just as intrigued as Paddy did.
"I'm gonna tell,"
Tom shook his head in dismay and slight annoyance. "Please mum, no."
"Why, it's not embarrassing or anything, plus you got the girl you were so madly in love with,"
You melted a bit at her words even though she was just taking the piss out of Tom. "Come on Tommy, I wanna hear the story. Please Nikki tell me the story."
"Okay so, when you and Tom were about five years old and had been friends for about six months, he proposed with a ring pop, right?" Tom shook his head again, before folding his arms and burring his head in them.
"Yeah, I actually still have the ring part," you said, a sheepish smile on your face.
Toms head shot up hearing your confession. "You really have that still, is that what that red half ring this is in your bedside drawer?" You shook your head yes, before turning back to Nikki to hear the rest of the story.
