Chapter 6: Moving in

After school, Natsu waited for Lucy outside. When he saw her, he yelled,"Lucy! Hurry, we have to go get our stuff to move in tonight!"

When Natsu said that, all the kids that didn't have the project, were really confused. They stared at Lucy and this made her face turn beet red. She ran up to Natsu and grabbed his hand and ran.

Lucy then stopped once she reached a tree. "Natsu! What the hell were you thinking! You can't say things like that out loud! People will get the wrong idea and think...and think...", Lucy suddenly stopped. Natsu saw Lucy's face drop.

"What will they think?"

Lucy lifted her head and yelled,"You clueless bastard! You're such a kid!"

Natsu couldn't believe his best friend was saying such things to him. "Lucy, are you on your period?"

Lucy's face turned red and a dark aura appeared behind her. "Natsu!!!" She grabbed her fist and punched him on his head.

"Why'd you do that Luce?!"

"Why would you assume I'm on my period?! Are you trying to say something about me?!"

"I'm sorry okay! You've been acting strange, so I thought you were on it."

"You're lucky Erza isn't here to smack the crap out of you!"

Lucy, suddenly realized where they were. "Natsu. Do you remember where we first had a real talk, when we were kids?"

"Huh? You mean the Cherry blossom tree?"

"Yeah..." Natsu looked up and saw the tree.

"Really brings back memories." Lucy stared at the tree and then she shook her head. Stop getting distracted Luce! Thought Lucy.

"Natsu, I have to go bring my stuff to the dorms."

"I'll help you."

"I don't need your help!" Lucy yelled.

"I'm not letting you go by yourself!" Natsu yelled back.

"You're not-" Lucy couldn't finish her sentence because Natsu lifted her onto his arms and started running.

"I said I was taking you!"

Lucy's face turned a bright red as she dug her face into his chest and whisper, "Whatever..."

Moments later Natsu arrived at Lucy's apartment.

"You wait here okay."

Natsu nodded and Lucy ran in.

Lucy P.O.V
Why? Every time I look at him, I get nerves. I've started to say things I don't mean, and I've been acting like a real ass...I don't act like me. It's never bothered me before now.

I slammed my back on the door and hugged my knees. "Damn you Natsu. Why do you have to play with my heart?" I whispered.

I shook my head and stood up. I grabbed my bag and started packing my things in it. Momentarily, I heard Natsu knock on the door. "Lucy, why are you taking so long?"

"Sorry, just give me a sec." I packed all my writing things in another bag. Then I opened the door.

"Natsu, can you hold this for me?" He nodded and I passed him my bag.

I went up to the landlady and said,"I won't be here until the summer. I will be living in the school dorms until then. Thank you for your hospitality." I then walked out with Natsu.

Natsu P.O.V

"Hey Natsu, don't you need to get your things?"

"Yeah."

"I'll help you then."

I shook my head."You have to settle in. I'll go get my own things."

When I said that, I turned and I saw Lucy pouting. My face turned a bright pink. I don't know why. I suddenly felt my eyes start to wonder. I've never really thought of Lucy as a women before. I mean, I know she's a girl but she's my best friend.

Suddenly, I remembered the conversation I had with Laxus :

Laxus placed his arms around me and asked, "What do you think of Lucy."

"What do you mean?"

He looked at me impatiently and said,"I'm pretty sure you're man enough to realize whether you have feelings for her or not."

"Feelings for her? Dude, she's my best friend. Friends can't be lovers" Laxus shook his head.

"You're really still are naive. Look, try looking at her in a more perverted way."

"What the hell?"

"Look at her like a woman. Does she make the good old man go up?"

While I was remembering that, I suddenly found myself in front of the dorms. I waved at Lucy and I went to get my things.

Narrators p.o.v

Lucy went in the dorms and unloaded her bags. The room was surprisingly spaciou. It had two rooms, one bathroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Lucy went in the room and unloaded her things. She thought to herself:
