Doppio was sexually assaulted as a little kid and that trauma forced him to develop another personality. The second personality introduced himself as "Diavolo" and he was the one who protected Doppio against sexual interactions.
Diavolo thought himself as the caretaker, the one who watched over doppio. But he soon negatively influenced doppio's spirit. Doppio became reckless, blood thirsty and aggressive due to his caretakers wishes. That's when doppio committed his first act of murder, but once he was caught by his father, he burnt the entire city down.
With the guidance of diavolo, doppio went on to murder millions in that fire. Later in his life, doppio met a wonderful woman, Donatella. Diavolo didn't care for this woman so he allowed doppio to keep her around, but it soon escalated as doppio and donatella developed a deep relationship.
Diavolo was the one to take over as doppio was about to sleep with donatella, with the help of a blind fold.
Diavolo may be a very bad influence, but he will always be there for his sweet doppio. He always made sure to keep him safe.
