Chapter 25

Eli woke up early and went through his usual routine. Readied himself for school then went out of the room and saw Aira, working in the dining already.

"Good morning Mommy", he said as he hugged her.

"Good morning. You're early Kuya", she said

"Yes Mommy. We didn't see Dada last night. Is he okay?", he asked her

"Yes Kuya. Just a little problem on the site", she said.

"Ok. Mommy, are we going there this week-end?", he asked her as Aira put down the food and sat opposite him.

Eli stood up and get his juice from the ref. Mommy seemed to be occupied. He sat down again and asked her.

"Are you okay Mommy?".

"yes, I'm okay Kuya. Just worried about your Dada", she said

"I thought he was ok?", he looked at her.

"Yeah. Sorry Kuya for burdening you with it", she said

"It's ok Mommy. I'm a grown man, haha", he laughed with what he said. At least Mommy grinned at him.

"Just young man Kuya. That's what you get from being with Lolo Dad and Dada a lot", she said, looking at Eli with tenderness.

"I love talking with Lolo Dad and Dada Mommy. Now, I'm like you. I really don't have friends. But I have Lizzie, Riley and Ethan. I'm fine with them", he said

"Yeah. Methinks that's nice too. Maybe when you get to college, you can have buddies again", she said and they smiled at each other.

"That's Dada", Eli said when he heard someone going downstairs.

"Good morning Babe. You're early too", Aira stood up and hugged Dex as he kissed her. He kissed Eli too and sat beside him.

"Punta lang uli ako sa site mahal ha. Ayusin ko yung gate para mas maganda", Dex said

"Are you okay Dada?", Eli asked him

"Ok naman master. May mga lalaki kasi na sabi kanya daw yung lote natin. Nakow, I cannot allow that no. Pinaghirapan natin yun", Dex said.

"Oh. There are men like that Dada?", Eli asked

"Oo master, habang buhay, laging lumalaban but the most important thing eh yung nasa tama ka and if you're on the right side, just keep on fighting", Dex said, tapping his shoulder.

"Is it okay to tell him that Babe?", Aira asked, a little worried.

"Oo Mahal. Dapat aware din ang mga bata sa ganitong bagay, not for you to worry but for you to learn na may ganitong mga tao and learn how to deal with them. Mga bullies na walagang magawa sa buhay", Dex said

"Just be safe Dada", Eli said

"I will. Makikita ko pa maging doctor ka di ba?", he told Eli and smiled at him. His family was his inspiration and why he was fighting for this.

"Yes Dada", he said and hugged him.

"Wait ko na si Lizzie Mahal. Ihatid ko muna ang mga bata bago pumunta dun kasi may bilhin pa naman ako na materyales", Dex said. Eli was happy to hear that Dada will drop them off to school. Lizzie will be happy too.

Lizzie was really happy to know that Dada will drop them off.

She was standing behind Dex seat as he drove them to school.

"I miss you Dada. You're very busy?", she asked him

"Kuya will make kwento to you, di ba Kuya?", Dex asked Eli
