With tears running down her face Paris shook her head as she looked outside .. She really didn't hear anything else after the words "SJ, shot, & coma" ..
Wiping her eyes, she bit her lip as she fought to keep her emotions to herself ..
One of the reasons she was so comfortable going to prison was because she knew Shane had everything under control .. She was supposed to serve her year then get out and celebrate with her husband .. Maybe go on vacation, maybe just relax at home for a while ..
But everything was the complete opposite ..
"We gonna stop by the house first and then we can—" Cut off, Shane was silenced as Paris butted in ..
"What we going to the house first for ? I need to go to the hospital and see my son .." She said
"You need to go to the house .. shower, eat, change .. then go to the hospital .. you can't help him Paris, he's in a coma .. it's nothin you can do for him .." He replied ..
"It's not about what I can do for him .. I need to see my child !!" She yelled ..
Sighing, Shane ran his hand across his waves .. licking his lips he focused back on his wife .. "You got 20 minutes .. then we going home .. you can go back later .." He said
"Are you on top of this already ?" She asked
"What the fuck you think ?" He asked ..
Rolling her eyes, Paris mumbled "You don't wanna know what I'm thinking .."
"What was that ?" He asked, daring her to repeat herself
Kelsey and Shamar sat across from them as they argued .. They were quiet, for once they weren't the ones arguing ..
"SJ wouldn't even be in this situation had you not condoned the bullshit .." She said
"Let's get one thing clear here .. He didn't get shot because of none of my beef, it wasn't because of what I did or didn't teach him .. it was your bullshit !!" He replied
"Which he shouldn't have been nowhere near in the first fuckin place .. which you said you were going to fuckin handle !! Which you didn't do shit !! Which you ain't doin shit !! Which you don't seem like you gonna do shit !! My bullshit ? You got some fuckin nerve .. " She yelled ..
Knocking on the partition Shane watched as the window that separated them from his driver slowly came down ..
"Stop the car .." He said calmly ..
"What we stopping the car for ?" Paris asked
Before the car could even come to a complete stop Shane got out ..
"Where you going ?" Paris asked as she stepped out of the car too ..
"Don't worry about it .. I'll see you later .." He said as he got into the all black Escalade that was trailing them ..
Paris watched as Shamar kissed Kelsey on the cheek before exiting the vehicle as well "I'll see you at home .." He said to her ..
Getting back inside the car Paris folded her arms across her chest as she stared out of the window ..
"I'm surprised you're still alive right now .. very surprised .. whoever he's been seeing for his anger management, deserves a fuckin medal .." Kelsey said as the car began to take off again ..
"Funny .. " Chuckling behind her tears, Paris wiped her eyes .. She sat silent for a while before finally speaking again ..
"I was baiting him .." She said
"This may sound crazy, I know it's crazy but I was .. apart of me wanted to make him mad .. even if it involved us fighting in the back of this car !! But he didn't do shit .. he don't like who I've became Kelsey .. hell I don't either but everything I've done was for him and his kids !! I get out of prison after some months and the nigga didn't hug me, touch me, kiss me .. he barely acknowledged me !!" She said
"Paris, don't do that .. he's under a lot of pressure .." She said
Sighing, Paris threw her hand up "Kelsey, I am too !!" Paris said
"I know, just talk to him tonight .. before you got to assuming anything .. " She said
Silent, Paris was in deep thought .. Tapping on the partition she told the driver to just go ahead and take them home ..
She was going to go home, shower, see her kids and eat before going to the hospital ..
She was going to take his advice then hopefully talk everything out .. The last thing she wanted to do was cause more conflict, so for the moment she told herself to put away her personal feelings ..
Walking into the house, Paris smiled as she looked around at the foyer filled with roses ..
The house was clean, a big "Welcome Home" garland floated close to the ceiling ..
Almost in tears, Paris took in her surroundings .. She was happy to be home, the time away from her kids was too much but she did it ..
Making her way upstairs, she found the kids as they met her halfway as they ran out of their rooms ..
Now in tears Paris hugged the twins as the other two came running behind them .. They had gotten so big in the time she had been gone, all she saw when she looked at the time was the time sacrificed but she knew she did what had to be done ..
"I missed y'all so so so so much .." Paris said, hugging them as tight as she could .. she made sure
to take in the moment ..
They talked her ear off .. With a lot of catching up to do she eventually found herself in the kids room ..
With only the twins left and the other two sleeping Paris laid in bed with her daughter and son ..
Then in walked Solo .. "What's up .." He said as he smiled at her..
"Solo !! She yelled as she quickly got up, running up to him she hugged him tightly ..
"Welcome home fam .." He said before kissing her cheek ..
"It's good to be home, I've missed you .." She said
Smiling, Solo wrapped his arm around Paris as he guided her out of the room ..
"You've been summoned .." He said
Rolling her eyes, Paris smirked as she followed his lead .. "How you've been ?" She asked, walking down stairs ..
"Good .." He said
"And what about you and Nat .. how are y'all ?" She asked ..
"Me and Nat not together at the moment .." He said
"Really ? Why not ?" Paris asked as she stopped
"You were right, this ain't the life for her .." He said
Staring at him, Paris didn't say anything as she didn't want to dig too much into it .. She said it wasn't her business so she was going to stick to that ..
"Where is he ?" She asked, referring to Shane as she continued to walk down their long hallway ..
"His office .." Solo said as he went in the opposite direction ..
Walking down the hall a little further, Paris looked around .. Everything was the same, Shane hadn't changed anything ..
"What's up ?" She said as she entered the room
"You ain't showered yet ?" He asked, sitting behind his desk .. He sat back in his chair and looked at his wife ..
"No, I got caught up with the kids .." She said
"Well, hurry up .. so you can eat then we'll leave .." He said
"What's up with you ? I thought our reunion would've been better than this .." She said
"What you talking about ?" He asked
"You didn't even hug me.." Paris said ..
"We got a lot, too much actually .. goin on to be worried about that .. I love you .. that's all that matters" He replied
"Yeah, okay .. I'm about to go shower then .." She said
Nodding, Shane turned his attention back to his iPad ..
