Arriving in separate vehicles, Shane watched from the 2nd floor of 1/15 as Marsella made her way into the club ..
Their divorce was already in the public eye, and Shane didn't want to add any more unnecessary drama into their life than he already had ..
He knew he was breaking Paris' heart but he also knew he wasn't the man for her at the moment .. His moms diagnosis was taking more of a toll on him than he thought it would ..
"Yo, Shane .." Solo said as he entered his cousins office ..
"Wassup" Turning away from the window, Shane acknowledged his cousins presence ..
"I just got a call from Bora Bora, Paris has an admirer .." He said, sitting down in front of his cousins desk ..
Smirking, Shane sat down as well ..
"Who is he ?" He asked
"Xavier Smith.. has a security software business, millionaire, from Atlanta, Georgia .. He legit .. he asked her out and she declined .. He said he would have his contact info sent to the resort for her if she changed her mind .." Solo said ..
Not saying anything, Shane sat silent for a while before returning his attention to his cousin ..
"Me and Marsella leaving separately, make sure it's no cameras whatsoever in the VIP tonight and no phones .. If they don't wanna do that then they can't come in .. no exceptions .." He said
"Aight, what about the Paris situation ?" Solo asked
Shrugging, Shane stood to his feet .. "As long as he legit, she can do what she wanna do .." Shane replied
then he walked out ..

Paris and the family sat out on the beach for dinner.
The resort was throwing this big fancy dinner outside on their beach front for all of their VIP guests ..
They had a harpist playing .. it was beautifully decorated with white roses and candles ..
It was a whole vibe and exactly what Paris needed, the wine was flowing and Paris was enjoying the food, music, company and the light breeze that was coming in from the ocean ..
They had just finished all of their food and was working on dessert ..
"So Natalia .. what really happened with Solo ?" Paris asked ..
Caught off guard, Natalia adjusted herself "He didn't tell you ?" She asked
"He told me a little bit, but not enough .." Paris replied ..
"Well, I only know so much myself .. Shane sat us both down one day he said that it was getting too dangerous and he didn't want me involved, and we had some decisions to make .. Either Solo stepped back or we broke up .." She said
"And Solo chose the Cartel ?" Paris asked, already knowing the answer ..
"Basically, he said it was for my safety .." She said
Nodding, Paris understood her cousin-in-laws decision ..
"Can we discuss why you and Shane isn't together anymore ?" Celeste asked, turning her attention to Paris ..
"Mama, really ? I thought you agreed to stay out of our business .." Paris rolled her eyes ..
"I just asked a simple question .." She said
"And we all know your question is followed by nothing but things I should be doing to be with him rather than any type of good advice or support .." Paris said
"If you think that about me then why am I here ?" Celeste asked, slightly raising her voice ..
"Okay, that's enough .." Justine said as she put her hands up to both of them ..
"No, she needs to hear this.. whether you agree with anything I have ever said or done .. anything I've ever told you or did was for your own good !!" Celeste said ..
"Mom, stop .." Natalia begged
"And lower your voice .." Paris demanded
"Who are you talkin to ? I'm your mama .. you not mine .." She said looking Paris up and down as she got out of her seat ..
"Well fuckin act like it !!" Paris said through her teeth ..
Staring at her daughter, Celeste shook her head "I'm going to my room .." She said
Rolling her eyes, Paris sighed as she watched her mom storm off ..
She felt bad about cursing at her but her blood was boiling so bad she couldn't contain herself ..
Looking at Justine, Kelsey shook her head "See what you're leaving us here with .." She said, attempting to break the ice ..
Causing everyone to laugh ..
"Your mom means well she just knows a different form of survival than you do.." Justine said ..
Shaking her head, Paris swallowed her whole glass of wine as she watched their waiter approach the table ..
"Mrs. Carter, this is from the gentleman over there .." He said, as he presented a bottle of wine ..
Placing it inside of the ice bucket .. he used his other hand to point towards the table ..
Following his hand Paris watched as Xavier smiled and waved at her ..
Smiling back, she got up and headed to his table ..
"Who is that and where you going ?" Kelsey asked
Not responding to her, Paris kept walking towards Xavier until she reached his table ..
"Thank you, you didn't have to do that .." She said
"I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to .." He said
"Oh well, thank you anyway.." Paris laughed
"How about you join me for dessert .."
He suggested ..
"I can't, I'm here with family .." She replied
"I'm sure they won't mind .." Xavier said ..
"And how would you know ?" She asked, crossing her arms across her chest ..
"By the way they smiling and waving I'm pretty sure they're hoping you take a seat .. I'm kind of hoping the same thing .." He said
Looking back at all of her family, They were grinning and giving her the push ..
Shaking her head, Paris turned her attention back to Xavier .. "Maybe another time .." She said
"Please .. give me 5 minutes, that's all I'm asking for .. You got me goin out sad over here .. I just begged you !!" He said with a smile
Smiling, Paris shook her head no again "Not tonight .. Thank you for the wine though .." Walking away, she didn't look back as she headed back to her table .. but she could feel his eyes still on her ..
"What was that about ?" Natalia asked before her sister could even get in her seat good ..
"This guy, he's been asking me out .." She said
"And what did you say ?" Justine asked
"No, it's too soon .." She replied
"Time waits for no one Paris .." Justine said
"But this is a little too fresh.. I just got served divorce papers .." Paris replied
"Do you think Shane is taking it slow right now ?" Kelsey asked ..
Thinking to herself, Paris shrugged .. "Everybody here knows Shane uses his dick as a coping mechanism .. he probably is somewhere fuckin on someone else .. I don't care, I can only say what's best for me right now .. and I'm not ready .." She replied ..
"That's a good enough answer for me .." Justine said, attempting to change the subject ..
Smiling, Paris thought about what Kelsey said .. but as quick as she thought about it she dismissed the thought .. She wasn't ready for that either ..
