When Paris reappeared back into the dining area, hand in hand with Shane she was all smiles. Her face didn't match the way she felt, that was a skill she had learned to master over time. She had become good at acting. Worried about Yasmine, she wanted to question Shane some more. But the last thing she wanted to do was upset him less than 24 hours of him saying goodbye to his mom.
And for a second she thought 'Maybe he's right, it ain't your damn business ..'
She had her own relationship to think about, she had her own kids to think about.
"Why do you look like that ?" Kelsey asked as she approached her sister in law ..
Shaking her head, Paris waited until Shane had walked away before she started talking. "Cameron found Yasmine .." She said
"And that surprises you ?" Kels chuckled as she looked around the room "Where is she?"
Before Paris could answer they heard the foyer door open, then Chloe appeared, then Yasmine and then Cameron.
He looked directly her way and smirked.
Paris rolled her eyes.
"You know why he's here right ?" Kelsey whispered
"No, why?"
"He's apart of this business deal that Shamar and Shane have goin on. Something about a staffing agency but that's for legality purposes only." She said as they watched him introduce Yasmine and Chloe to family ..
"I'm ready for him to get out of my house .." Paris replied as she glared across the room at him
Kelsey laughed. Only second later, they were headed their way.
"Shit .." She said
Kelsey, not hesitating threw on smile and met them halfway across the room. "Hey Yas, hi Chloe .." She could be heard saying as Paris approached them as well ..
"It's nice to see you again Kelsey.." Yasmine said with a smile ..
"Paris, Yas gonna head back to the house with you when you leave .." Cameron said
"Okay .." She replied, keeping it simple
Then she felt a hand on her lower back ..
"Let me talk to you for a second .." Shane whispered into her ear, as he guided her threw the house and outside into the backyard ..
He helped her down the marble steps, and around the pool. Making sure they was out the way of listening ears. Kelsey and Shamar's backyard was massive, if not larger than theirs.
The view from their backyards was breath taking. The view from their backyards was art. It was one of the luxury taxes Paris loved. It was beautiful.
"Let's talk .." She heard Shane's voice from behind her say .. Interrupting her thoughts ..
"Talk about what ?" Paris asked her eyes closed, enjoying the breeze on her bare face ..
"Us .." He replied
Opening her eyes Paris turned around to face him. "What about us ?" She asked, wondering where the conversation was even going ..
"We not repeatin our mistakes.. You stayin quiet for the sake of peace only gonna make shit worse, say what you gotta say .. before I leave you alone, with Yasmine and you get any ideas .." He said, calling her out ..
"We have our own problems to worry about .." Paris said
"I know that, I'm just tryin to make sure you know that .." Shane replied
