"Surprise!"

The voice was sugary sweet, and Paris blinked in confusion as the chocolate-skinned beauty sauntered past her into the suite.

Paris frowned, glancing past her toward the hallway. "You got my food?" she asked flatly, already disappointed.

Jessica smirked. "Good to see you too," she said, gliding straight toward Shane.

Across the room, Shane was reclined in a chair, phone pressed to his ear. "I'll call you back," he said into the phone.

"Is that Paris?" Marsella's voice cracked through the receiver, irritation already brewing.

But before Shane could respond, Jessica bent down and wrapped her arms around his neck from behind, her lips close to his ear. "He said he'd call you back," she purred, and without hesitation, tapped the screen to disconnect the call.

Shane sighed, tossing the phone onto the table. "Why you do that? Now I gotta hear her mouth."

"If you really gave a fuck, you'd be mad," Jessica whispered, her arms still around him. "But you're not. So fuck her."

Paris stayed quiet, but her eyes said everything. "What are you doing here?" she finally asked, her voice low. But Shane interrupted.

"I got somethin' I need you to do," Shane said as he stood, walking over to her.

"What?" Jessica asked, folding her arms.

He placed a hand on her lower back and started guiding her toward the balcony.

Paris rolled her eyes, she knew what that meant. She wasn't supposed to hear whatever was about to be discussed. Like always, he drew the line when it came to cartel business.

Married or not, she was still locked out.

As the balcony door clicked shut behind her, Paris turned just in time to see room service arriving. She grabbed a few crisp hundreds from her wallet and tipped the server without a word. Setting the food on the table, she arranged the dishes in silence, occasionally glancing out to the balcony where Shane and Jessica spoke in hushed tones.

Shane's phone vibrated on the glass table again and again, Marsella was blowing him up.

Paris smirked dryly. Those days? She didn't miss them.

When the balcony doors finally opened, Shane and Jessica reentered the room.

"What you get for me?" Shane asked casually, making his way to the table.

"Ribeye. Medium. Loaded mashed potatoes. Grilled shrimp. Broccoli with cheese," Paris replied without looking up.

He grinned, sliding into his seat.

"Jessica, you can have my second order," Paris added coolly.

"Second order?" Jessica raised a brow, laughing as she took a seat.

"You heard her right," Shane said, cutting into his steak. "Her greedy ass always order two meals. One for now, one for later."

"While y'all deep in my business," Paris said, passing the bag to Jessica, "your girlfriend been blowin' you up."

Shane smirked, chewing slow. Like it didn't mean a damn thing.

Jessica popped the lid off her food, then frowned. "You know I don't eat meat anymore, right?"

"No red meat," Paris corrected her smoothly. "It's a shrimp salad and tilapia."

Jessica glanced at the food, then shrugged. "Looks good."
