{And she finally gave up, dropped the fake smile as a tear ran down her cheek and she whispered to herself, 'I can't do this anymore'}
| Ameera Binte Ahmed |
I stood at the doorstep of the Amin Household , I tried going inside but failed miserably as I couldn't master the courage to walk through those doors and face everyone.
My eyes began to water while I harshly wiped them away so they don't pour out.
"It's not the time to be weak, Ameera. You have to be strong, you have to remain strong. You cannot allow yourself to be weak, especially at this time." I kept repeating this in my head
I sat down on the stairs that were located a few meters away from the front door as I was to scared to walk through them. I didn't want to be seen with those eyes filled with sympathy and pity for me. It'll only break me more then I'm already broken.
Just when things couldn't go any worse, rain started pouring heavily from the dark grey skies.
Even though it was raining cats and dogs I didn't move a single inch from where I sat. I was soaking wet from the rain yet it didn't bother me.
The only thing that was bothering me was how casual Zaidan had been. How easily he had spoken to me even after everything he had put me through.
My eyes slowly started to get tired, I don't even know why and then it suddenly got dark.

"I AM GOING TO MURDER HIM, I WARNED HIM AT THE VERY START OF THE PROPOSAL! HURT MY BABY SISTER AND I WON'T THINK TWICE BEFORE MURDERING HIM." Someone yelled
"Habibi calm down, atleast let Ameera gain her consciousness. We'll talk about it when she's awake Okay? Our main focus right now is to take care of Ameera!" A female voice replied calmly
I slowly opened my eyes and a familiar room came into my sight.
"Shaveer!! Ameera is awake!!!! Phone Doctor Hayat right now!!!" Zainab yelled as she came and set down by my side
"Wha..t happ..ened?" I struggled to speak as my throat was extremly dry
"Your temperature dropped badly which caused you to fall unconscious. Now Jaani tell me why had you been sitting outside, in the pouring rain for more then half an hour?" Zainab asked in a stern tone
"Can I get some water first? My throat is killing me as we speak." I replied calmly
"Oops I'm sorry," she immediately got up and went to the jug of water that was placed on the table. She filled a glass of water and bought it back
