Chapter 48

Nash's POV
It's been a week and Alexa still hasn't woken up. They took her off the ventilator two days ago so she's breathing on her own. Her parents and her sister have been here since they got off the plane and I have haven't taken a shower a gotten proper sleep. The baby is ok and healthy and I'm thankful of that. I was currently sitting on the chair next to Alexa's bed starting to doze off when I heard moaning sounds. I quickly shot my head up directly to Alexa. Her head was moving slightly, and her grip on my hand grew tighter.

"Alexa?" I called out her name and she groaned. "Nurse! nurse come in here I think she woke up!" I yelled out and smiled to the thought of her waking up. The nurse and the doctor quickly came running in and checked if everything was fine. They took me out of the the room and the doctor had a worried look on his face. I tried to push back so I could stay inside with her but they slammed the door in my face.

After a while the doctor came out and I quickly shot up from my seat, so did Alexa's parents.

"Alexa had a small seizure but she finally came too, she's resting right now but we need to keep an eye on her because we don't want her blood levels to rise."

"Ok thank you doctor may I go in to see her?" I asked.

"Sure but only for a little time and one person at a time." I nodded my head in agreement and walked into her room. I sat next to her and held her small hand in mine.

"Hey Alexa, you finally woke up." I smiled. "and I'm glad you did because I don't know if I could live without you, I'm sorry about the pain Alexa believe me when I say I love you because you are the most important thing to me, you and our baby. Well I'm going to uh go out now so your family can see you." I said letting go of her hand but I felt her take it back.

"I love you so much Nash." She whispered in a raspy voice. I quickly ran to her and attacked her with hugs and kisses as if she were my air. I could hear her giggling and I was so happy I didn't want to let her go. She's everything to me.

"I'm so glad your fucking awake you don't know how much I love you. I was so scared you were going to leave me."

"Nash what happened?" She asked.

"I was a fucking idiot and you got into a car cra-"

"Wait! What happened to our baby?" She yelled I could see tears forming in her eyes.

"Hey calm down don't worry." I smiled. "I'll bring her to you"

"Her?"

"We had a girl Alexa." I smiled as I walked out to get our baby.
