Chapter 13

"Alexa I don't want you to think that I'm rushing things, but will you be my girlfriend?" He broke the kiss.

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend!" I smiled and I hugged him. Finally it was twelve in the morning and we left Disneyland. I couldn't stop smiling, if I would try I would burst out into laughter. Once we got to my house no one was there, like usual since.

"Hey Nash wanna stay? I know you're tired and I don't want you driving late." I said.

"Yeah sure I'll stay." With that I changed into some shorts and a shirt and we both got into bed.

"Ahhhh" I woke up screaming and sweating. One of my dreams. Dreams that I hate having.

"Alexa! What's wrong!" Nash yelled running back into my room.

"Nothing." I said as took a big gulp. "Just another dream."

"Are you okay Alexa? Wanna talk about it?" He said.

" I'm going to be completely honest with you because I don't want to start this relationship off with lies or not telling you anything. So when I was in eighth grade my mom died in a car accident and my dad became an alcoholic, everyday he would come home drunk and he would hit me, and tell me that she died because of me. One day he came home very very drunk and tried to abuse me but I grabbed a bottle and hit him in the head. He blacked out and I ran away. I now live with my foster parents and foster sister. It's now in my past, but ever since the Michael thing it's freaked me out a little bit." I felt a tear come down my cheek.

"Who else knows about this?"

"No one just my foster parents and you, I've never told anyone because I was scared of being judged." I sniffled. " I'm telling you this now because I want to be honest with you."

"Alexa you don't have to worry about that anymore, I'll be here to protect you and don't forget that." He gave me a kiss on my forehead." Come on let's go back to sleep." He said laying back down. I laid next to him and he held me by my waist. 

"It's all going to be okay." he said and kissed my cheek. I stared up at the ceiling and wondered if it was really going to be ok. Who knows what can happen.
