Chapter 124: New Beginnings and Farewells

Hi guys, welcome back to today's story. You won't believe what happened—I had breakfast with Andrew this morning. It was unexpected but nice, and now we're finally talking again.

He rang my doorbell at 7:30 AM sharp. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach as I opened the door. "Hi," I greeted him with a smile.

"Hey, I can drive you to school too if you want," Andrew offered, his voice warm and friendly.

"Sure, let's go," I replied, grabbing my bag as I stepped outside. We got into his car and drove to Kelly's Café, our old favorite spot.

We sat down in our usual booth, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. "So, how have you been?" Andrew asked, his eyes searching mine for answers.

"I've been good, busy with everything, you know," I said, trying to keep my tone light. "How about you?"

"I'm good," he replied, though there was a hint of something in his voice, maybe sadness or regret. "I'm not mad at you, you know. You had feelings for Lorenzo, and I should've understood that. I'd really like to try again to be friends."

His words were like a balm to my heart. "Me too," I said, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders.

Andrew smiled, a genuine, warm smile that reached his eyes. "Also, I have something else to tell you—I'm going to NYU."

My heart skipped a beat. "Oh really? I'm so happy for you!" I said, though a part of me felt a twinge of sadness.

"Yeah, I'm leaving Friday," he added, and the twinge turned into a full-blown ache.

"Cool, New York! Don't forget to bring me back a sub," I joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"Okay, I won't," Andrew promised with a chuckle.

After breakfast, Andrew took me back home. "You sure you want to drive your new car to school?" he asked as we pulled into the driveway.

"Yeah, I just got it, and I want to show it off," I replied with a grin. "Thanks for breakfast."

"Anytime," he said, smiling as he watched me get out of the car. "See you at school."

As I walked inside, I couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. I was genuinely happy for Andrew, but the thought of him leaving for New York so soon was bittersweet. I quickly texted Sophia and the others, letting them know I'd be picking them up for school. Then I headed to Lorenzo's house.

Chapter 125: The Last Week of School

"Good morning, Bebe," I greeted Lorenzo as he opened the door.

"Good morning, love," Lorenzo replied, pulling me in for a quick kiss.

"Ready to go?" I asked, holding up the car keys.

"Yeah, let's do it," Lorenzo said, grabbing his bag as we headed out to my new car.

We made a quick stop at Sophia's house. "Hey, girl!" Sophia exclaimed as she hopped into the back seat.

"Hey!" I greeted her back. We then picked up Brian, who was standing outside his house with his usual sleepy smile.

"Hey!" Brian said, climbing in.

"Hey, man," Lorenzo greeted him with a fist bump.

"I think we should go to Starbucks," Sophia suggested as we pulled away from Brian's house.

"Yes, great idea," I agreed.

"Guys, we have school right now, and it's the last week," Lorenzo reminded us, though he didn't sound too serious about it.
