Frank always seemed to live a little on the gay side of life, at least to Gerard, anyway. Gerard tended to watch the younger man a little more than most people would deem necessary though, and in fact, if most people were in on Gerard's creepy habits, they'd probably call the cops.

Like that time when he accidentally walked in on Frank masturbating in the downstairs bathroom and he stayed at the door a little bit longer than he probably should have - these things just weren't discussed between the two. Especially given the fact that as soon as Frank had noticed Gerard standing there, he simply continued to jack off with a grin between each wave of ecstasy and a progressively messy hand; perhaps moaning a little too loudly.

But really, Gerard had no clue as to where they stood as friends, considering that Frank was actually Mikey's friend, and Gerard had almost never said a word to him past, "sorry," and, "hi."

Mikey, being the seventeen-year-old brother of the twenty-one-year-old, didn't ever question it - or at least not outwardly.

Gerard was just weird; he had no friends himself, spent his time alone in the attic drawing exceptionally good portraits of Celine Deon, and didn't speak to anyone bar his family, so Mikey really had no reason to question what might become of his brother and his own best friend.

God knows how he'll ever have sex, Mikey often did find himself questioning.

One night, though, everything changed. Mikey was hosting one of his usual Friday night sleep overs, and Gerard could do anything but sleep. It was two in the morning: Mikey, Frank, Ray, and Bob were all downstairs snoring loudly, and it was keeping Gerard all too awake.

Throughout the evening his brother and his brother's friends been eating pizza and drinking cheap beer (illegally, of course, as Gerard had been required to go buy it for them) whilst holding video game tournaments, and for once Gerard had wished that he could join them. He knew that it was unfair to ask, seeing as they were Mikey's best friends, but he still wished for it all the same.

That day, Gerard had felt quite alone, but more so than usual. It had really hit him that he was still living with his parents; feeding off their money and supplies in order to get out of having to work. He hated interacting with people, therefore working seemed out of the question, though Gerard knew that he didn't want to end up being one of those thirty-seven-year-old 4chan members, or anything of the sort. He figured that sometime soon he'd change his mind about the workforce, that one morning he'd wake up with a completely new attitude, but so far it wasn't looking good.

It was just as the clock beside him beeped two forty-six that Gerard realised he needed to take a piss. He slowly sat up in bed, flinging the StarWars sheets off his body and swiveling to the side so that his bare feet swept the ground with a soft oomph. He found himself standing in the next few seconds that followed, cracking his knees and striding toward the door. He moved out onto the upstairs landing, hearing his parent's own snores from across the hall as he padded softly down the stairs. He turned to the left instinctively once his feet had carried him the carpet of the downstairs area, but at the last available moment, he glanced back at the mess of sleeping bags and tangled limbs placed upon the cramped living room floor.

He was almost at the bathroom when a small sound - different to any snore - caught his attention. It was so miniscule that for a second he had wondered if he'd even heard it, but in the next, it had sounded again. It was louder this time, and Gerard could make it out as a psst-ing sort of noise, as if someone were trying to call for him.
