Chapter Nine: up an at 'em

JE's POV
"FUCK NOELLE!" I screamed . waking her up.
It was twelve here so I was tired as Hell but I didn't care.
"Noelle I am so sorry but come on we have to leave. I have to be at a hotel in sixteen hours with you."
I grabbed her bag and mine and sprinted down the stairs. "GRAB YOUR KEYS!"
"why do we have to be at a hotel in sixteen hours."
"My sister is having her wedding and I'm her brides maid."
Her eyes widened. "well GO! Get your ass in my car I'll be there in a sec!!" I ran out the door. The car was unlocked so I threw the bags in the trunk.

Noelle walked out a second later. Sprinting to the drivers side. I threw some snack into the back seat of the old yellow Volkswagen beetle. It was in pretty decent shape. All things considered. I got in on the passengers side and pulled up the directions.
"Here." She handed me an AUX cord. "She might look like scrap but this baby has a booming sound system." Noelle pulled out of the driveway. I looked at my playlists while ways directed Noelle towards the freeway.
I don't know why I picked this one but I had to. It had some of my favorite songs on it
"Hey there Delilah"
"what's it like in new York city? I'm a thousand miles away but girl tonight you look so pretty yes you do. Times square can't shine as bright as you I swear its true."
Noelle just kept singing along.
I realized I hadn't given Noelle all the details as to why she was coming.
"Hey umm... I forgot to tell you something."
She nodded keeping her eyes on the road
" so my sis wouldn't let you come because were online friends and she doesn't know you. And she didn't know that your PC and Computer had been thrown out a window and that I was flying to pick you up. So in order to spend more time with you I may have lied that we were dating...?" I said folding in on myself with the last words.
Noelle just laughed.
"Oh.My.God Don't worry about it Its fine I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes."
She laughed some more a tear coming out of her eye.
"and we may need to actually act like a couple because my sister may have told everyone in my family that we are dating..."
She abruptly stopped laughing. She looked over at me a wide grin on her face and her eyes filled with laughter.
"Your sister seems like she a really bad at keeping secrets"
We both laughed this time.
"Smoking cigarettes on the roof."

Noelle sang along again. Tapping the wheel in rhythm.
Then once that song ended. I had to ask.
"Shall we start making ground rules?"
"Yeah I guess."
