Noelle's POV #######========########=======#######=======#

"Yeah I guess" I said my eyes on the road as "The book of you and I" By Alec Benjamin came on I softly hummed. Letting JE Ramble.
"So hugging and hand holding are a safe way to convey affection. Without it getting weird. But if anyone gets suspicious I don't know what we'll do. Maybe pecks on the cheek. I'm fine with those."

okay these all sound alright

"yeah I'm okay with all of these. No ass slapping though please." I giggled
"hEY! You know I didn't mean it like that" I just laughed harder gasping for air tears streaming down my face. I had to pull over I was laughing so hard. "Oh- Oh my God. I'm So- So sorry. But you should know i- I don't let go - Go of jokes that easily." Another fit of laughter hit me.
"Come on switch me seats. Your tired and I can drive."
We did and as my laughter changed to giggles I took the Aux Cord from JE's phone. Putting on my playlist named 'Da good stuffs'
Its a mixture of Dawes, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Melanie Martinez, Olivia Rodrigo, The Beatles, And one song I just needed to add on there.
"sometimes all I think about is you."
I just had to add heat waves on there.
I hit shuffle play after Heatwaves came on. Letting the lyrics slowly let me drift off into a peaceful sleep.

JE's POV########========########=======########=======###

Really. She had Heatwaves on a playlist? Oh well who was I to judge. I Gamed for a living.
She looked so peaceful when she was asleep. Her playlist was actually pretty tasteful . the Beatles and Who were the Dawes people? They actually sounded really good. I was really speeding this late at night. the speed limit was ninety I'm going 125 miles per hour.
Not that it really mattered. No-one really cared. To be honest we took the fastest route possible. Arriving there Six hours early.
We switched multiple times of course. But we eventually arrived. It wasn't actually a hotel. I just didn't want Noelle to stress about it. It was my late great grandmothers house. My Grandparents were planning on selling it. It was out of date and the foundation was fucked up. But it was stable for now.
"Noelle wake up." I shoved her shoulder. She didn't move. "Noelle!" I shoved her harder this time. She jerked upward.
"What what is it?" She asked drowsily rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
"Were here."
I got out of the car pushing my seat up and grabbing the trash from the back. We made alot of trash. Noelle got out of the car and grabbed the bags. It was now noon. We had driven for ten hours straight.
"Jesus Christ Jordan what did you do to the poor girl?" My sisters familiar voice said.
"she's the one that had the car." I threw my thumb over my shoulder pointing to Noelle.
"Introductions right. Sorry. Noelle meet Jessica my sister and Jessica meet Noelle my Girlfriend."
Noelle extended her hand towards my sister.
"Oh come now." My sister said walking up to Noelle and giving her a huge hug.
"Now come on you both. Jordan needs to try on her dress and I took the liberty to buy you a dress Noelle. I hope it fits you."
"Thank you Jessica." Noelle said.
"None of that call me Jess. Everyone does."
Noelle nodded.
We walked inside the little brown brick house. It had been cleaned up nicely. From the pictures Jess had sent me it had been really run down. I had only ever seen my great grandmother once in person and she had a very distinctive smell. I loved her to. She always sent me some sort of present for my birthday or Christmas. She was always so kind to me. Once I refused to pick up the phone while driving around with my parents but they made me talk to her. That was around six months ago. Three months ago she had died. Her heart problems got the best of her.
I still felt guilty to this day for refusing to pick up the phone.
I grabbed my bag from Noelle and gave her a peck on the cheek.
"Thanks Noelle."
She blushed slightly clearly trying to play it off like its normal.
I spotted the kitchen with the island. The back door and creatures prowling around in broad daylight.
"OH MY GOD are those stray cats?!" Noelle yelped running out the door. She had grabbed beef jerky out of her bag.
"What just-?" Jess's best friend Gretchen asked.
"She hates seeing animals go hungry. And plus kittens are adorable and she loves cats so you can see where this situation would come up." I explained laughing a little. Glad I knew her so well.
"Oh cool! We were having a mice problem anyway. If she feeds them maybe they'll stick around." Said My aunt Lucy. She was legitimately the same age as Jess. Just seemingly older.
"Well go on silly. You need to try on your dress. We'll keep Noelle company and bring her more beef jerky if need be." Lucy smiled at me.
I looked at Noelle. The cats were getting along with her. Two were chasing a stick that she flung around while one was just sitting in her lap. Purring. The beef jerky bag open in case the cats got hungry. The one in her lap was a black cat.
I walked over to the narrow hallway the connected to the living room.
"Down here!" Jess called from my right hand side. I walked down the beige carpeted hallway. The popcorn ceiling made everything seem smaller. (Popcorn ceiling legitimately looks like someone glued popcorn to your ceiling and painted over it. Sorry if I confused anyone.)
I walked into the room and saw a beautiful blue gown it was frizzy or cupcake-esk but it wasn't a tight fit either.

"You really got this for me?" I asked.
"yeah we all have the same navy color in our dresses. But  all are different styles. I figured you might like this one better. Now go try it on." I walked back into the hallway and into the restroom. I took off my clothes and put the dress on. Walking back out and into the bedroom.
"Wow." My older sister breathed."its my wedding but all the boys are gonna be asking for your number." She teased.
I giggled. "I guess."
"Okay now go change out of that. I don't want you ruining it before the wedding." She smiled at me.
I changed out of it and handed it back to her. Walking out of the room I saw Noelle in her outfit.

(something along the lines of this but the hem and midsection are in black

(something along the lines of this but the hem and midsection are in black. And then you put on black sweater and fishnet leggings underneath it)

"Noelle you look amazing!" I ran up to her to get a better look.
"eh I don't know. It just feels to bright and makes my stomach look big."

The Hell was she talking about? Her stomach look big? She's a fucking twig!!!

"hey I think you look amazing in it. But if you want a different dress I'm sure Jess would be fine with taking us to the store."
I said looking into her Grey blue eyes. They were filled with tears.
"No I'll keep the dress. Thanks J-" she paused catching herself"Jordan." She walked back into the bathroom and I walked outside. To the little black kitten who was lying on the ground. Its eyes were Green and Amber. And it looked at me. A little scared. I just kept my hand halfway across the concrete giving it a comforting smile. Waiting to see wether it would bolt or step closer. It got up. Walked over to me and rubbed against my hand. I picked it up. Set it in my lap and pet it. Giving it a name is the worst thing I could have done in that moment. But I gave it one anyway.
"Hey Miles." I said. It instantaneously started purring acknowledging that I had named it. And that he was mine.
Slowly Miles fell asleep and I picked him up. Cradling him the small kitten. Like I would a small child. Walking inside I grabbed  a towel and a bowl of milk and a lunchable I had packed. I played the towel on the floor and grabbed the bowl of milk from the counter. Setting it on the towel. And opened the lunch able. Pulling out the ham. And setting it in a small dish next to the milk. I held Miles as I snacked on the cheese and crackers. Today was an exceptionally good day.

Today was a good day. I thought drifting off to sleep leaning against the kitchen island. Petting Miles and thinking about everything that went right.
