Chapter 5: Rest and Relaxation

The walked through the woods intil the came across a large house with a Wisteria family crest.

"It's time to rest. It's time to rest. You must rest now." the crow cawed.

"Are you sure?" questioned Tanjuko. "Well I have been fighting with injuries this hole time."

Y/n looked at her "wait You what?"

"Let's eat this thing," said Ino.

The crow immediately looked worried "Whaaat!"

"You know I've never had crow before so sure let's eat it," Y/n joked making the crow look more nervous.

Tanjuko sniffed "This place is surrounded by Wisteria."

"Yeah I can't  stand the smell of it."

Just then the door was opened by a very old woman "yes?"

"A.... a ghost! It's as ghost," said Zenitsu.

"Who the hell are you?" asked Ino.

"My I presume that all of you are demon slayers?l

Ino got defensive "Yeah, what's it to you?"

"Ino, don't be rude."

She led us inside. Zenitsu was strangely frightened of her "She walks fast for a little old lady," prompting Y/n to role his eyes. She led us around the house and showed us a room with a fresh change of clothes. Y/n got changed first and Tanjuko had to stop Zenitsu from peep. Ino didn't care about changing in front of Y/n so Tanjuko had to pull out the room to.

They were brought to another room where four meals were presented to the slayers. "She has to be a monster" Zenitsu screamed. "Preparing all this so quickly, there's no way she's human! She's a monster gra-" She was interrupted by Y/n bonking her on the head.

They all ate with Ino eat like an animal and try to steal Tanjuko's food but Y/n stopped herby with his chopsticks. Tanjuko offered some of her food but Ino only pouted.

They were all lead to a room with four futons. Ino Immediately jumped on one. "This one's mine."

"That's fine Ino."

"Yeah, I... I really don't care." Ino got frustrated and through her pillow Zenitsu. Soon a doctor cam by and examined everyone, Zenitsu blushed when Y/n exposed his chest.

The doctor concluded that all of them had broken ribs except Y/n. He had a lot of splinters from smashing through walls. "Y/n, I thought you were gonna try to stop doing that?"

"Never!"

After that they all laid in bed. At first Zenitsu was blushing over the idea of Y/n simple sleeping in the same room as them but she eventually she calmed down. They all laid there have small talk. "So ino why did you join the demon slayer Corp?"

"Huh? Well this guy invaded on my mountain. We had a contest to see who was stronger and I took his blade as a reward."

"I fee sorry for that guy," thought Zenitsu.

Ino continued "Then I heard I heard of this thing called final selection and the fact that demons really do exist."

"So that's what drew you to the demon slayer core," said Tanjuko "and hey, you grew up in the mountains same as me."

"Don't lump me in with you, I don't have anyone I can call family! Only one thing gives me comfort in this world and that's testing strength against others," Ino putting on her bore head.

"Is that so," Tanjuko sighed "how sad."

They all lay there in awkward silence until Y/n broke it "so Tanjuko, why are you traveling with a demon." There was an intense silence, the tension was so thick you could feel physically it.

Suddenly the box shook causing Zenitsu to scream and panic as Ino fell asleep. The box continued to shake as Zenitsu continued to scream. As Zenitsu open the closet to find a place to hide the box open and out came the most adorable tiny girl wearing a pink kimono to big for her. As she stood up she grew into them.

Zenitsu got mad and started screaming at Tanjuko that she hated that she defended a girl who was cuter than her. As she drew her sword she was knocked out by Y/n with the butt of his sword.

"Alright Tanjuko you've got two minutes, why are you carrying around this demon? And why is she so damn cute."

"Ummm.. welll..... ok," Tanjuko took a breath. "She's my little sister. My family was a murdered by Muzan. Normally my little brother would go into town to sell charcoal. However that day he'd hurt his leg so I did that day. On the way I stayed the night because I was told it was dangerous. When I came back I found my whole family dead and.... a,,.. and Nezuko had been transformed into a demon!"

Tears started to stream from her eyes as Nezuko gave her a hug as if to say "it's not your fault."

Y/n sighed feeling bad for the girl. "So now you're looking for a cure for her? Seen this before."

"I..... I want Nezuko to be able to go in the sun again!"

Y/n felt a tightness in his chest. "Fuck." He sighed "ok, Nezuko come with me." They walked outside next to a small pond. "Take it off." Nezuko looked surprised. "You heard me take of your muzzle off. I want to make sure you won't hurt you sister."

Nezuko took off her muzzle and Y/n cut his arm. Nezuko almost immediately began to drool. "No! Nezuko! Don't do it!" shouted Tanjuko as Nezuko slowly approached Y/n as if in a trance. She opened her mouth showing her fangs but just as Y/n's blood was about to enter her mouth she pulled herself back covering her mouth.

Y/n and Tanjuko sighed in relief as Nezuko put her muzzle back on. Y/n immediately gave her a hug. "I know what it's like to avoid the sun. I'm albino, I don't burn to death instantly in the sun but I know what it's like to avoid it like it will."

Nezuko immediately hugged back. She then saw her sister and she gave her a smug look that sad "jealous?"

The three sat on the edge of the house with Nezuko in her tiny form sitting in Y/n's lap {A/n: Stop it!}.

 They all sat up staring at the full moon. Tanjuko turned to Y/n. "So Y/n, may I ask why you joined the demon slayer core?"

"Hmmmm...... well, I was raised by the core. I had been left for dead in the woods as a new born. It's probably because of my albinism. Anyway I was found by demon slayers and they basically raised me. I feel obligated to them. Plus, I've spent my whole life admiring powerful demons slayers I can't see myself trying to be anything else."

"I see. That's sad, being left alone in woods as a newborn."

"Honestly I'm glad. Whoever my parents were, whatever their reasons were, I'm glad I was abandoned. Because I the demon slayer core is my real family."
