Zero Pov:

{"Damnit! I should've I know better than to start an agreement with him,"} Zero Thought as tries to look around from the smoke to get a clear vision on what's going after the spy tries to blast them with his weapon 

lucky both of them manage to dodge it in time but they got their vision to block out because the smoke was covering the area 

{" Tch, With this thick smoke around here, I can't still see clearly damnit," } 

He tries once again to adjust his vision around the smoke, but lucky he won't have to anymore because the smoke started to fade out a little 

So, he looks around while there a little bit of smoke and dust in the air. He notices two figure standing on the other side in front 

he tried to approach

"Take another step forward, I will blow this guy head off,"

As in queue, the smoke around the place cleared up and allowing Zero to what in front of him which cause him to clutch his teeth hard 

The Spy had Bass on a chokehold around his neck while the buster was pointed closer over bass head

as Bass tries to break from the stronghold 

Zero did what the spy told him what he wants him to do Because he won't risk Bass getting his blown off

Even though both of them didn't get along with each other, they are still brothers created by the same creator that he despite for even creating him into this world in the first when he found what his existence brought upon to this world  but he not going to complain about it now, since X gives him a huge talk about that before, and there no time for that too

"Let him go!" Zero yelled as glare at the spy holding Bass as his hostage

"No, and also don't even try to bring out your buster or else his head will go bye-bye," Th spy said as he presses it on Bass head a little harder, as heat imitated from the tip

Bass let out a gamble of discomfort, as he felt the heat burning him a little. He tried using his back to knock out the spy in letting him go but the spy has an iron grip around him while his buster on his head

Zero click his teeth together, As he de-activate his buster back to his hand and didn't move on where he stood 

The spy let out a satisfying "hmmp" at the result, thinking that he made a wise choice knowing what price will be in steak if he doesn't in this cost. And also doesn't mind the trashing movement of his hostage because he had a strong iron grip around him from not to escape from his hold

He slightly smirks when Zero glared at him hard. If looks would kill, He would 10 inches deep to the ground or maybe far more than that but he won't let his guard down from this opportunity to think of a plan in escaping this situation now

but he needs to be cautious because one simple slip, his life will be meet terrible dismay in the hands of one the strongest Maverick hunter and especially it's going to end badly because holding one of his oldest brother with his buster pointing on his head

he better think of a plan fast

"What do you want?" Zero asks with a hint of anger dripping around his while keeping a cool head expression across his face, as tries to think of a solution or plan on how to get Bass out from the spy hold. And also if he was a human, He would already veins popping out of him when that spy didn't welp the sly smirk across his in which it's very annoying in Zero gears 

" I want to turn back and walk away from here," The Spy said as still held Bass a little closer into him because he also let him go when Bass one his free elbow to jab him in the gut " also don't tell anyone what happened here or else he will get it," 

Jabbing the buster on Bass head a little bit harder

Bass responds with an annoyed snarl, not liking that one bit. In it causes him to struggle more in his solution that he was on 

"So," The spy begins speaking after he fixes his hold "Which will you choose to do? and choose wisely or else this will go boom and bye-bye,"
