Chapter Thirty-two | Unanticipated Events

"I SAY WE kill him."

An hour before the arrival of King Todoroki Shouto, (Name) found herself sat in an unplanned gathering between Bakugou and his friends. She was just having lunch with her husband when Kirishima, Kaminari, and Sero arrived.

Everyone almost want to roll their eyes at Bakugou's proposition but they did not dare, the King is already pissed enough, claiming he's already disturbed at the thought of Glacia's King stepping his feet on Ignis' grounds. Automatically, everyone looked at Kirishima, the first person everyone would think of to reason with Bakugou.

"I do not think that's a good idea." The redhead said, sending shades of fury on Bakugou's face.

"Why the fuck not? If we end the bastard's life here, all of our problems with Glacia will disappear."

"Why don't we hear what he has to say first? Maybe he wants peace."

Bakugou scoffed. "You don't know that. He could be tricking us, this could be an ambush."

"But you're the one who told us to accept his request to see you." Kaminari interjected, earning a glare from Bakugou.

"So I could kill him, that's why!" He exclaimed. "I will get his head first before he gets mine. Nothing good ever comes whenever I meet with other Kings whose Kingdoms I consider as enemies. Especially that half-and-half bastard!"

When in doubt, everyone turned to (Name), signalling it's her turn to conjure some miracle to change Bakugou's mind.

"I agree with Kirishima." She cleared her throat. And before Bakugou could retaliate, she spoke, "I don't think King Todoroki is stupid enough to think of killing you in your own territory. If he did manage to kill you, he has to worry for his escape. And he can't escape. Kirishima had made sure to guard the palace heavily and he'd be there with you in your meeting with the Glacian King. He won't try anything."

"I think the lot of you should know half-and-half and all the things he does is for a reason. That bastard might look prim and proper on the outside but he's got daddy issues and full of rage inside." He countered.

(Name) sighed, "I know you are terrified after what happened to you, but rest assured that it won't happen again. We are here with you and you are in your home. You are very much safe here."

"I am not terrified, for fuck's sake."

"Yes, you are."

"No, I'm not!"

"Then, don't be so paranoid. Trust Kirishima to watch your back and hear what King Todoroki has to say. And besides, he sounded desperate in his letter, I am also starting to suspect that he might bargain."

With a huff, Bakugou glared at her but (Name) has long been immune to that. "Fine! But if I sensed something wrong, you fuckers better not stop me from blowing that bastard's head off."

After a long wait, the arrival of King Todoroki was finally announced. (Name), along with the others, followed Bakugou to the war room where they would receive the Glacian King. Bakugou thinks it would be best not to receive him in the throne room where he would be sure all of his nosy court nobles would invite themselves to get a glimpse at Todoroki. He decided he would only have Kirishima by his side to guard and Midoriya because it is his duty as a scholar to be by the King's side.

As for (Name), she wasn't really clear why he also invited her.

They arrived first and stood to wait for Todoroki. (Name) noticed Bakugou clenching his fist and his stance seemingly on guard in case something happens. She can't blame him, though. He nearly died from an ambush and no matter who you are-- a tough a man or not, the trauma will always imprint itself on your mind.
