Chapter Eight | Home

AS THE TERRAIN got more familiar to (Name), she knew they're nearing the Kingdom of Magus.

It has been a tiring and lonely three days of travelling, she spent most of her time sleeping, eating, and reading. So when she could finally see the houses from the town of Magus, (Name) was suddenly surged with energy.

It feels good to be home.

Maybe she could consider this as a blessing in disguise. The court in Ignis have been suffocating most of the time, except the times she spent with Uraraka and Midoriya. So it's good to be back home.

The carriage have entered the town and the palace is already looming over (Name). Not much had changed in Magus. Suddenly, (Name) was met with the townspeople. A handful of them waved at her and she waved back, when the carriage enter into the deeper part of the town, more people appeared and saw the carriage. This time, they didn't wave nor smile.

When the carriage passed them, they decided to run after it. (Name) got worried they might get hurt and the coachman increased the pace. The crowd of people continued chasing after the carriage which increased the worry in (Name).

Without even realizing it, they have entered the palace gates and the crowd of people stopped when the gates were closed.

The carriage stopped and then the door opened, (Name) went down and immediately look at the gate where a lot of townspeople yelled angrily and banged against the gates.

"Your Majesty." (Name) look at her side to see her father's advisor, Dabi. He bowed.

"What is going on?" She asked.

"You don't need to mind them, Your Majesty." Dabi curtly answered. "Now, let's go inside. Your mother is waiting."

(Name) look back at the townspeople once more before following Dabi inside.

Her home hasn't changed much, except that it feels much darker and gloomy. Usually, there would be servants and nobles walking around but now the palace is almost isolated. Dabi has now stopped at the doors of the throne room, (Name) increased her pace and stopped beside him.

When he opened the door, (Name) was met with the sight of her mother and brother. And before Dabi could even announce her, she ran up to them and embraced them in a hug.

"Oh, (Name)..." Her mother hummed as she returned the embrace. Her brother returned the hug as well and tightened it.

As she bathe in the warmth of her family, it has came to (Name) just how much she misses them. So much that she couldn't help but let a few tears fall.

"I miss you all so much."

"Don't worry dear, you're here now."

(Name) nodded and buried her head on her mother's shoulders. She felt her shoulder vibrated as she spoke.

"Welcome home, (Name)."

As soon as (Name) entered her old bedroom, she saw her lady in waiting and (Name) immediately ran up to hug her.

"How are you?" The lady in waiting asked.

"Not so good."

The lady in waiting could only smile sadly. Then, she fixed (Name)'s hair and got her more comfortable clothes for dinner.

When the time came for (Name) to go down to eat with her family, she noticed someone missing.

"Where's father?" (Name) asked when a servant pulled a chair for her and she sat down. Thanking the servant, she was soon served with dinner.
