"nick," i groan. "how long have we've been on the road, it feels like forever."

i thought i'd like this road trip; long hours in a car with the love of my life. but nope. it's long, & dragging. i'm tired & hungry for food.

"babe," nick says.

that makes my heart skip a beat, it always gives me joy when he calls me the cute nicknames he gives me.

"it's been 2 and a half hours. we have 4 more to go." he sighs.

"ughhhh!!" i shout.

~~

"babe..BABE!" i hear nick shout, i jolt up.

"what, are you okay?" i ask.

"we're here!" he smiles.

i look out through the windshield at the massive house in front of me...wow!

"this is your parents house?" i ask.

i didn't really think nick would be the type of person to be all "money money," & he isn't...just his parents house is literally a MANSION!

"yes, it is baby." he looks up at it with a longing look in his eyes. i'm sure he's missed his parents...i can't say the same about mine.

"alright, let's go in. shall we?" nick says in a goofy manor.

"sure, let's go babe!" i smile.

"oh, & babe!" nick says as i shut the passenger side door.

oh it feels SO good to put my feet on the ground!

"yes?" i question.

"i haven't really had the time to tell them that we are a thing...so, they don't know about us yet." nicks face turns red.

"oh, it's okay silly! let's go, i'm excited to meet them!" i say

"okay, gorgeous." nick blows me a kiss & i pretend to catch it in midair.

i love this boy...

we walk up to the front door, hand in hand. & once we reach it nick rings the doorbell.

i hear feet from behind the door, & some chatter. my heart does a million flips in a couple seconds before the door slowly swings open.

"hi, mom." nick says.

his mother smiles at him. he eyes travel to our hands & then back up at me. her smile fades...

"nick, who's this?"
