Chapter 2

Gandolf

When Ariana left the big house she ran straight to Annabeth and started explaining to her what happened.

"So you're a witch." Annabeth summarizes to her slightly shocked.

"Pretty much." Andromeda says.

"Chiron says you're leaving tomorrow to go to a place to get your supplies."

"Yep."

"You have a brother."

"Half-brother, but yes you are correct."

"Wow."

"Yeah."

Annabeth gives me a scowl, and then starts laughing.

"What is it?" I demand.

"Well it's just....it's just it explains so many things. Remember when Travis and Conner pranked you and somehow they ended up with purple hair for weeks. We all thought it was your mother, but it was actually you accidentally using magic." Annabeth continues to laugh in front of me.

I blush "Give me a break. I didn't mean to, but they did deserve it."

Annabeth smiles. "Yeah they did."

We sit there in silence for a while before she talks again.

"Remember when you got mad and the weapons shed froze with Clarrise inside."

We look at each other and burst out laughing.

"Or when Mr. D called me Andra Powder and... and when he tried to...to stand up he took the chair with him." I say in between laughter.

The laughter between the two friends can be heard through camp long after lights out.

"Ari get up. It's breakfast time!" Annabeth yells while banging in her door.

As soon as I hear breakfast I jump up and get ready for the day. "I'm coming." I shout.

"You better." I hear Annabeth grumble.

I roll my eyes and rush out the door and past Annabeth

Annabeth shouts after me but all I heard was "Happy...."

I run all the way to my table and sit down. When the food comes out I sacrifice to the gods and eat really quickly.

5 minutes later I'm done eating and I wait for Chiron to make announcements. After what felt like hours Chiron stands up to talk.

"Attention campers. You will follow your cabin schedules today. Athena cabin be careful in the weapons shed with the spiders. We do not need another incident. Ares cabin while climbing the lava wall do not push each other. Hermès cabin no setting fire to people please."

There are a lot of groans and complaints, but Chiron ignores them.

"Dismissed."

I see everyone get up and leave the dining pavilion, but I go the opposite way towards Chiron. Annabeth gives me a thumbs up and mouths 'Good Luck'.

When I arrive at Chrion's table he looks at me and sighs. But I've known him long enough to know he is amused.

"What do you need Andromeda?"

"When will your friend be coming to pick me up?"

"He will be here in a few minutes, but first. Come with me."

"Why"

"Ariana will you stop asking questions and just listen." Chrion says exasperated.

I salute him.

I follow Chiron into the big house. He turns around.

"Stay here. I will be right back."

Chrion walks out of the room. A few minutes later he walks back in, but he has something in his hands.

"Is that a present."

Chrion's eyes twinkle with amusement. "Well your birthday is June 26th, or did you forget."

I blush. I actually did forget.

"Well why are you just going to stand there. Open it."

I rush forward and grab the box and start ripping off the wrapping paper. I open it and see another box. I open the box and gasps. It's a bracelet. It's pearl white color with blue engraving and has the word 'βασιλεία' on it.

"Royalty." I breathe out.

Chiron smiles at me. "That is a gift from you mother and if you will it to. It will turn into a weapon of royalty. There is another gift in the box from me."

I look through the packaging and see a card. I open only to see the words 'alicanto ο έβδομος φύλακας έρχεται και λάμπει το φως σας'

"What does this mean?" I ask Chiron.

"Read it aloud." He says smiling.

"Alicanto the seventh guardian come and shine your light." I look at Chiron about to ask a question when there is a bright light. I hear the caw of a bird and when the light dies I see a 1 foot tall bird with a wing span of 2 feet. But that's not the most stunning part the bird. The most stunning part is it's wings that look like gold and are glimmering and shimmering in the light.

I hear Chiron explaining something to me. "His name is Alicanto. Almost every student at Hogwarts has an owl to keep in contact with their families. I realized that an owl might not make it all the way from Europe to America so I talked to my friend and he was willing to make an exception."

I run towards Chiron and give him a hug. "Thank you." I say to him while trying to keep the tears in.

He smiles at me. "You are very welcome child. But this does mean I expect updates every so often."

I laugh. "Of course Chiron."

Chiron looks at the clock. "Oh my. He will be here in 2 minutes.  Clean  up this wrapping paper and make sure you're ready."

I do as told and right as I finish putting my new bracelet on my right hand there is a knock on the door.

Chiron walks over to open it.

"Albus how are you."

"I am doing well. Thank you. I stopped at a sweet shop in New York and I must say Americans have a lot of different sweets that I would love to try."

Chiron chuckles. "Yes I have heard they are rather good. Some campers sometimes try to sneak out and go to town and stop by these sweet shops." Chiron and the man called Albus share knowing looks. I put on my innocent face.

"Would you like to come in?"

"If you don't mind."

When the man Chiron called Albus walked in I got my first good look at him. He was tall, thin, and very old, judging by the silver of his hair and beard, which were both long enough to tuck into his belt. He was wearing long robes, with a blue cloak that swept the ground, and high-heeled, buckled boots. His blue eyes were light, bright, and sparkling behind his half-moon spectacles and his nose was very long and crooked, as though it had been broken at least twice.

"Ahh. You must be Andromeda Potter. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"First off its Ariana, and second off why do you look like Gandolf?"
