Platform 9 3/4

When Ariana got home that night she said her goodbye to Dumbledore and goodnight to Chiron. She dragged her trunk with her school supplies to her cabin. When she walked in and clicked the lights on. She jumped.

"Surprise!"

Ariana is shocked there is a large sign written in gold that says 'Happy Birthday Ariana!'. There are balloons and decorations everywhere. There is also a table with a large assortment of food.

She sees Annabeth, Selina, Beckendorf, Luke, the Stolls, Katie, Riley, Mark, Jennifer, and many others.

"What are you guys doing here." Ariana says while putting her trunk in the corner.

"It's you birthday. We're having a party." The Stolls says synchronized.

"If Chiron finds out we're going to get in trouble."

"When has that ever stopped you before?" Annabeth says with a raised eyebrow.

The party lasts for multiple hours there was a food eating contest, gift opening, and lots of games

The start of the school year was getting nearer. Ariana was trying to spend as much time with her friends as possible.

Right now her, Annabeth, and Riley were all sitting on the sand next to the lake. They were joking and laughing before Annabeth has to ruin the mood with a question.

"When are you leaving for the school year?"

"Tomorrow. September 1st."

"How do you get to the school?"

"Chiron says everything he has everything sorted out."

Annabeth opens her mouth to ask another question but Riley interrupts her. "Annabeth she knows about as much as we do. Chiron says he has it figured out so let's just trust him."

Annabeth nods.

Riley turns to Ariana. "Are you excited?"

Ariana shrugs. "I don't know yet. It'll be good to be there, so I can learn things about my father. But I'll also miss camp."

Riley smiles brightly at her. "That's why you have your bird...... what was his name...."

"Alicanto"

"Yes Alicanto. You can use him to stay in contact with us. You could Iris Message us also."

Ariana smiles. You can always count on Riley to cheer you up.

They hear the conch shell calling for dinner so they walk back up.

Ariana knocks on the big house door. Chiron opens it and sees Ariana standing there with her trunk behind her.

"Are you ready?"

"Yes, Chiron."

"Is everything packed."

"Yes I know how to pack Chiron." Ariana tells him while rolling her eyes.

Chiron ignores the sassiness in her comment and lets her into the big house.

He shows her an old boot on the coffee table.

"You will be using this to get to King's Cross Station ."

"Ummm Chiron. That's a boot."

He sighs. "It is a port key. It will transport you and your school supplies to King's Cross. From there you will go to platform 9 3/4 like your ticket says. Understood."

"Yes."

"Good." He looks at the time. "The port key is scheduled to leave at 10:00 it is 9:57. I have three minutes to tell you what you need to hear." He looks at me. "Albus hired a teacher this year for the Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Albus believes that this teacher might be a monster."

"Then why doesn't he fire her?"

"No one wants that job. They believed it is cursed."

That put a whole lot more questions in Ariana's head, but she decided to stay quiet for once.

"So what am I supposed to do."

"Watch her. We believe that the teacher is searching for a demigod. We don't know if it is you or someone else, so watch her for your safety and others."

"Ok. Go to school, learn magic, and try not to die by monsters. How hard can it be?" Ariana says.

Chiron looks at her softly. "If you need an extraction contact us or Dumbledore and we will get you out of there."

I nod.

Chiron looks at the clock. "It is time for you to go child. Just remember that I am proud of you, and that you are the child of the queen of the gods. You will do great things."

Chiron and her hug before he leads her to the old boot. She holds the boot with one hand and her trunk with the other. When she about to comment how dumb she looks. She is jerked forward as her feet lift off the ground. She started speeding forward in a flash of color and in a howl of wind. Her forefinger was stuck to the boot as though it was pulling her magnetically onward. All of a sudden her feet slammed into the ground and her trunk lands right next to her head.

When she looked up she noticed people bustling around and trains starting and screeching to a halt. She looks for platform 9 3/4 when she notices a problem. There was a platform 9 and a platform 10, but no platform 9 3/4.

"Of course Chiron wouldn't mention this. He never gives straight answers."

Sorry about the filler chapter, but I feel like there needed to be a chapter for her saying goodbye to her friends that she's known for all of her life.
