Onika's pov.

I sat in my therapist office waiting for Dr. White to fix me.

"Well go on with it, yea?" I motion my hands for her to start the process. "Fix me" I told the woman that I've been seeing for 3 years.

She sighs. "You will actually be fixing yourself" She says something therapeutic.

I smack my lips. "Now is not the time for that... can you hurry and put my memories back" I spoke like she has magic powers.

"How are you Onika?" She crosses her legs over the other, looking at me from behind her desk.

I gesture to bruise on my face from the fight with the bikers "As good as I can be" I say sarcastically.

"Your pale and also thin, I don't think you're well like you're leading on" She says.

"See, Dr. White, I already knew that so you can't try to get in my head" I squint my eyes at her. She always seems to give me therapy without my knowing.

"You told me the next I see you there will be a wedding band on your finger, I don't see any" She smile.

I think that's the only good thing that has happened to me this month.

I chuckle, "Maybe my luck hasn't officially run out" I say, though I'll be married in 3 months.

"Maybe" She teases. Dr. White clears her throat "Right, the reason you're here" she finally addressed the meaning for my office visit.

"Can someone intentionally forget an event that occurred in their life?" I ask her.

She nods slowly, "Yes, when your brain can't handle traumatic events it completely wipes the memory, it's called psychogenic amnesia. It occurs when a person blocks out certain information, often associated with a stressful or traumatic event, leaving the person unable to remember important personal information." She says. "And knowing you, I'm not surprised... you tend to not never face your pain" She jabs at me for not finishing therapy.

I roll my eyes, "Now is not the time to mention that I didn't finish therapy" I told her. "Is it possible to get my memory back?" I ask.

She hums. "Of course! Now that you are aware that your trauma is blocking that memory then that will make it easier" She says.

"Thank God" I'll finally get my memories back and won't have to play cat and mouse with almost everyone in my life.

Comes to think about it...they're all a bunch of assholes for not answering my questions.

"Then start" I smile.

"Wait" She says making my eyebrow raise. "Before we begin, there is always a reason why your brain didn't want to process the pain, are you sure you want to continue?" She asks with worries in her eyes.

I nod quickly. "I do" I say, whatever it is can't be that bad anyway.

She hums. "Are you ready?" She asks.

As I begin to open my mouth, my phone ringing in my pocket cut me off. I held my index finger up letting her know to give me a minute; I reach into my pocket and pull out my phone.

I look at the contact to see it was Ty, I was going to ignore the call but figured it might be something important since he's calling me this early in the morning.

"Yes?"

"Nic! Where are you?"

"In therapy, why?"
