"Oh my God!"
"Nicki!"
"What the fuck did you do, Nic!" Jelani yells.
I stand in the spot frozen, lowering the gun down to my side. I look behind Jelani seeing someone lifeless body on the ground. The drugs in my system made me feel more emotions than I would have if I was sober.
I walk past Jelani and stand in front of the man I shot. "Hey bud, get up" My voice broke; I didn't want to believe the sight in front of me. "C'mon, stop playing" I smile sadly, "Get up" I can feel tears form in my eyes.
"We need to get this body out of here" Jelani says with his hands on his head.
I look at Ty and Wayne seeing they were both shaken up. Ty kept wheezing while Wayne just kept watching the lifeless body.
Jelani snaps his finger in my face "Hello!?! Do you want to go to jail?" He asks making me even sicker.
Jelani pace back and forth "Grab his feet" He told me. I look at him like he's crazy "Grab his feet Nicki!" He shouts out of frustration.
"We need to call the cops" I panicked.
Jelani head snaps towards me, "Are you dumb? Do you want to spend the rest of your life in jail?" He raises his eyebrow, "Guess what Nicki, there's no partying in there!" He shouts.
I bit down on my finger nails thinking about spending the rest of my life in jail. I look at the lifeless body then back at Jelani "I can't do it" I told him.
Jelani huffs, walking towards me, taking the gun out of my hand "But you will, grab his feet Onika" He spoke in his stern voice.
"He's right, Nic" Ty chimes in.
"I'll grab his hands" Wayne sighs before standing up and walking towards the body.
Wayne grabs the man's hand then looks at me with a raise eyebrow, I can feel my tears spilling down my face "I can't" I say through blurry eyes.
Ty stood up and grab the man's feet "How will we get him out of the club unnoticed?" He asks Jelani.
I couldn't believe them right now... They're actually planning to cover up a murder.
"Follow me" Jelani gave me a look before turning around and leading us throughout the backdoor of the club. "I'll get rid of this" He says waving the gun. "Nicki" He calls for me.
I turn my head and look at him through teary eyes, I couldn't even speak.
Jelani sighs, turning to Ty and Wayne who seems to be more cooperative than me, I didn't know how since they just witnessed me kill someone.
"Here's what you guys will do" Jelani says making up a plan. "Behind Lenny's there's this forest, walk straight ahead and you will see a river, that's where those thugs discard their victims" I wasn't even listening him anymore, The sound of the gun going off kept repeating in my head like a broken record.
"What about our clothes?" Ty asks gesturing to our stain shirts covered in the man's blood.
"Nobody's home, burn your clothes in the fireplace then shower, do you understand me?" He asks.
Ty and Wayne nodded while I just stood there.
Jelani sighs before pulling me into a hug "I'll always protect you my little Onika" He says, kissing the top of my head. "Go now" He pulls away.
