A couple of days later, a council convenes in the throne room at Minas Tirith. "Frodo has passed beyond my sight." Gandalf explained as he walks closer to King Théoden. "The darkness is deepening." Aragorn added, "If Sauron had the Ring we would know it."

"It's only a matter of time." said Legolas. Gandalf stood taller and explained, "He has suffered a defeat, yes, but behind the walls of Mordor our enemy is regrouping." Gimli sat on the steward's throne, puffing on a pipe. "Let him stay there. Let him rot! Why should we care?" He yelled. "Because ten thousand Orcs now stand between Frodo and Mount Doom." Gandalf shouted before he fell silent. "I've sent him to his death." He pondered before Aragorn interrupted again,  "No. There's still hope for Frodo. He needs time, and safe passage across the Plains of Gorgoroth. We can give him that."

"How?" Gimli questioned still puffing on his pipe. "Draw out Sauron's armies. Empty his lands. Then we gather our full strength and march on the Black Gate." Aragorn said seeming pleased with his own plan. "We cannot achieve victory through strength of arms." Éomer pointed out. "Not for ourselves, but we can give Frodo his chance if we keep Sauron's Eye fixed upon us." Aragorn explained. "Keep him blind to all else that moves."

"A diversion." Legolas thought out land. "Certainty of death. Small chance of success. What are we waiting for?" Gimli laughs as he gets up from his seat. "Sauron will suspect a trap. He will not take the bait." Gandalf declared as he walked closer to Aragorn. "Oh, I think he will." He smirked.

"Where is Aerin, normally she's here with you.." Éomer asked as they all leave the room. Aragorn pulled him aside, "She was shot at by an orc.. she's not with us anymore." Éomer felt a tear fall down his cheek. He lost a friend and nearly lost his dear sister. He just nodded as he quickly left the room. "Oh and Éomer tell your sister gently when she wakes up.. I know they were best friends." He then gave a weak smile.

...

Aragorn entered the citadel throne room and uncovered the Palantír. He grasped the Palantír and held it up, looking into it  as he flinched as the Eye blazed and shivered in pain as it touched his open flesh. "Long have you hunted me. Long have I eluded you. No more." He whispered his voice certain. He then proceeds to  hold up his sword to the Palantír.

"Behold the sword of Elendil." Aragorn shouted at the Palantír. An image of Saruon in his armour appears, then a depiction of Arwen, dead. Aragorns reaction is priceless as he heard Sauron laughing, causing Aragorn to release the Palantír. The Evenstar falls out of his grasp to the floor and shattered completely before he covered the Palantír and stormed out of the room. Leaving the shattered remains of the Evenstar.

...

Aragorn lead a large army from Minas Tirith. Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, and Eomer rode with him. Pippin rode with Gandalf. Merry rode with Eomer. The Host of the West marches forth from Minas Tirith all nervous about the next commencing battle. Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli, Pippin, and Merry accompany the Men. Legolas spends the whole journey thinking about Aerin. Pippin notices, "Are you okay Legolas?" He questioned from behind Gandalf, who rode near. Legolas doesn't reply and Pippin understands why. "She didn't deserve that." He replied sadly as Gandalf rode faster ahead, nearly making Pippin fall off.

...

Meanwhile within Mordor, an orc dispatches an order. "To the gate, you slugs! Move out! To the gate!" It screeches. Frodo and Sam look over the plains of Gorgoroth. Orcs hors blow as the army moves from their path. "Look, the Orcs! They're moving off. You see, Mister Frodo, some luck at last." Sam smiled but his comforting smile doesn't last long when Orcs march towards them.  The hobbits quickly scrambled and huddle behind a rock, out of sight from the Orcs.

The Orc captain shouts at the Orcs who are making there way to the Black Gate. "Move it, you slugs! Come on! Faster! Come along you scum! I'll whip you down to the bone, you." The Orc captain continued to shout as the Orcs began to pass by the hobbits. "Come on! What have I told you? Now move it!" Unfortunately, The Orc Captain spies the Sam and Frodo. "Get up! Come on, you slugs!" The captain whips the hobbits as he mistook them for Orcs. In very terrible Orc costumes, Sam was surprised when the Captain shouted, "You two are going straight to the front line! Now, move it! Go on! Fall in! Move it! Move it! Move it!" at them. Scared of getting whipped again Frodo and Sam join the Orc column. "To the Gates, you slugs! Now move it!" The Orc captain ordered as the sea of orcs head toward the Black Gate. "Don't you know we're at war?"

Frodo and Sam continue shuffling  along with the Orc army. "Company Halt! Inspection!" The Orc captain suddenly informed. The soldiers stop, but unluckily Frodo has trouble standing. "Sam, help me!" Frodo cried out silently. Before Sam can respond Frodo falls but Sam catches him at the last second. "Mister Frodo!" A brutal-looking Orc sergeant with no nose looks around.

"Stand up, Mister Frodo! Stand up!" Sam whispered.  "It's so heavy!" Frodo whined like a child. Sam sees the Ring's chain cutting into Frodo's neck. No Nose turns toward Sam. "Oh no!" Sam whines as No Nose notices him and roars. He makes for the hobbits at lightening speed. "What do I do? What do we do?" He whispered to himself. "Hit me!" Frodo demanded.  "What?" Sam asked confused, he had never hit anyone before. "Hit me Sam! Start fighting!" Frodo nearly shouted.  Sam shoves Frodo away and then shouted "Get off of me!" whilst hitting Frodo. "Nobody pushes me, you filthy maggot!" Frodo shouted. "Get off of me!" Sam retaliated.

"Break it up! Break it up." Shouted the Orc captain. "Oy! I'll have your guts if you don't shut this rabble down!" No nose yelled. "Go, Sam. Now!" Frodo whispered as they  sneak out of the Orc troop and into a tent. No Nose looks around for them, but gives up eventually.  "Argh. Move along scum!" Sam and Frodo hear as the Orcs continue with their march. "Back in the line! You maggots! Back into the line, you slugs!"
