Layla's POV :

After a couple minutes Layla was finally able to go to sleep ... but she then started to have a nightmare/flashback . . .

Flashback/Nightmare :

It was 2:12 PM in Puerto Rico. At the time Layla was 9 years old and in the fourth grade. Today was 4th day of being at school and things were doing good.

A/n : I added 2 new characters Jose and Darren

Jose was 9 at the time and was Layla's FIRST crush

Darren played a very big part in Layla's life because they were born together ! And they're not even siblings. They were both born May 24, 2003 and grew up together practically making them feel like brother & sister

Darren : Hey Layla

Layla : Hey, are you taking the bus home because I don't wanna be lonely

Darren : No sorry I was gonna walk. But ask your mom if you can walk with me

Layla : Ok bet wait right here

Layla went around the side of the school and called her mom

Calling Mami ...

Layla : Hey mom I was wondering if I can walk home Darren

Y/m : Nope

Layla : Why not, Darren's walking home

Y/m : Am I Darren's mom? No, exactly now your going to take the bus and come home. Got it ?

Layla : Ok

Y/m hung up

Layla then walked over back to Darren

Darren : What did she say ?

Layla : She said Yeah

^I know it's not good to lie but I'm not letting him walk home alone, and I wanna show mom I'm a big girl^

Darren : Yes ! Bet let's go

They start walking and talking

6 minutes later they were still walking

Layla : You're so stupid baby blue is better than dark blue

Darren : Stop the-

Out of nowhere a van pulls up

Darren : LAYLA RUN !

They both start to run, a man came out the van and chased them until he caught up to Darren

Darren : Layla run !

Layla : Get off of him !

She says hitting the man trying to get him off of Darren
