"Huh?" He stumbled confused, 'fuck Robin- you don't even know the guy!'

"Do you want to hang out this summer? Me and you? Robin and ponyboy?" I said stepping closer to him "come on! It will be fun!" I yelled placing both my hands behind my neck with a natural smirk planted on my face.

Pony looked confused and unsure. "Here, how about me and you vibe around town then you can decide if you want to spend summer with me or not" I said sticking out my hand to him like a deal. He thought about it for a second then shook my hand.

"Okay, let me go tell my mom" he said being a actually good kid, "I'll be right back Robin" he said I took a spot on the side walk and waited for pony. 'At least I maybe won't spend the summer alone and I have someone so I won't think Mary ' I thought picking up a rock tossing it up and down. "Why did you ask me? We never even talked before?" Pony said coming back then sitting beside me.

"That's exactly why, plus you said yes that means you don't have anybody to spend summer with. So what's the harm" I said putting my knees to my chest, resting my arms on it then laying my head down on it looking over at the greenish-gray eye boy. He was staring up at the cotton candy clouds and shrugged. I laugh a little "don't worry pony I'm super cool" I said getting up. Now it was my turn to reach out my hand for him

"We'll see about that" he said smiling at me, taking my hand. I smirk at him pulling him up.

"I have a couple of cool places to show you, wanna go eat first? I know a place where we can eat free" I said already walking towards town.

"Yeah sure where?" He asked walking beside me, I'm glad we can keep up "sunset diner my sister works there plus we are close friends with the manager" I said looking at him from the corner of my eye to see his reaction. "I always wanted to go there" he said a smile planted on his face. "Hmm" I hummed back

"Do you like sunsets pony?" I ask see his reaction to the sunset diner. It's not like some fancy eating place, he nodded "me too, there Beautiful huh? I know a good place to watch one" i said. I really needed this to go well or I'll be spending the summer alone.

"Where?"

"Now that's a secret~" I hum to him, "now come on we have to hurry if we want to get there in time" I said running to the diner. I was right pony was fast almost as fast as me. He was always on step behind me. 'it was nice.. not have a person miles behind you.. stop thinking about Mary, shes gone' I shook my head then stopped

"And we are here~" I said in a sing song voice stopping in front of the diner. The outside was a cream white color with the sign that said open. Pony was right behind me smiling like a child he must have really wanted to go here.

I walk with pony the bell rings as we opened the door "Rose!" I yelled grabbing pony's wrist leading him to the barstools where I normal sit.   I let go and sit down, pony of course beside me.

"You were just here this morning-" she stopped looking over at pony. Her annoyed look turned into a smile then a smirk. "Oh ho ho and who is this?" Rose asked leaning over the counter. I look over at him, he just coughed

"I'm ponyboy"

"Ponyboy his super cool and likes sunsets" I said staring back at my sister. Pony mumbled something under his breath. He looked embarrassed by what I said. I look over at him with the corner of my eye he was staring at the menu.

"So what do you kids want to eat?" Rose asked looking at pony who never been here before. "grill cheese for me and a sprite!" I said kicking my feet back and forth. While pony looks over and menu "and for you?" She asked turning to ponyboy

"Just a hotdog please and coca-cola" he said politely. Rose nodded and headed off to the back. "So pony what do you do for fun?" I asked laying down on the counter turned to him.

"I like to read, watch sunsets I hang around with my gang a lot" he said resting his head on his hand. "OOoO i love reading but I always get distracted haha; anyways you have a gang?" I asked turning away from the reading "yeah we're always there for eachother, like a family" he said smiling sheepishly.

"That seems nice, I only have me and my sister." I said looking at rose through the window on the back door. Pony nodded "what's your family like pony?" I asked wanting to know more about him

"I have two older brothers, Darry and sodapop then I have my parents.. it's pretty nice mom always makes us some chocolate cake, she made some today the gang probably came over and ate it all" he chuckled to himself. I can tell he thinks a lot of his family including the gang

"Here ya go" Rose interrupted handing us out food and drinks. Then went back to work  "what about your family, what's it like?" Ponyboy said repeating me from earlier. I took a sip of my drink "it's pretty normal? It's me and my sister my mom kinda is never home so uh we don't really count her" I said laughing it off hoping he wouldn't ask anymore questions.

I dig into my grill cheese it was good so that meant rose didn't make it. "Having a gang like that seems amazing you know? You have a lot of people you can fall back on so don't take it for granted" I said smiling over at him. Pony nodded "never" he said

We finished up our food and made our way to the secret place. "Oh pony just so you know if your ever in trouble, I have tons of hiding places So just come find me" I said walking into a slightly wooden area "thank you?" Pony said not fully knowing how to take it. I only laughed at him I probably sound insane

"So pony who's in your gang?" I asked making it out of the wooden area to be met with a grassy Plains and Railroad tracks ahead. "It's me, my brothers, Steve which is sodapop best friend, Johnny who is rather quiet his like the gangs pet, two-bit who makes everyone laugh then Dallas he is the 'bad boy' of the group.. I don't like him very much" pony replied stopping at the railroad tracks.

"This pony is abandoned railroad track, no body comes out here so it's perfect to watch the sunset in peace" I said picking up a box. In the box was a picnic blanket "here" I said handing pony the blanket. He placed it down on the ground making sure it was flat. "Lucky the sun is about to set or we would have been here forever" I said whenever I'm here time feels slower it's nice being able to enjoy moments like these.. I forgot about Mary to, I knew she was going to leave but she should at least have told me..

"Robin?" A voice chimed "huh?" I said looking over at pony, he patted a place on the blanket trying to be nice. I smile at him and sit down. "Sorry zoned out for a second" I mumbled rubbing the back of my neck.

"Look" pony said pointing at the sky. The sun was setting the clouds turned a orange-y pink. I haven't watched the sunset in a long time. I smile and warp my arms around my legs. Debating if I should put my head on pony shoulder worried he would get the wrong idea. I turn over to him

'For someone who likes sunsets, I wonder if he see how bright he shines..' I thought the sun shined on him. Making him look rather good I laughed. 'I SOUNDED LIKE A POEM PERSON' pony looked over at me, confusing written on his face  "what?" He asked slightly embarrassed

"Hmm nothing" I said nudging him. He smiled over at me as the sun sinked deeper into the ground. "We should probably go though, I'm going to walk you home" I said standing up and brushing myself off. Pony followed my actions and picked up the blanket "I can walk you home" he said wanting to walk me home. He handing me the blanket

"No way I asked you out on this adventure so I'm taking you home" I said in a 'duh' voice. I started to walk away ponyboy stood confused then followed
