As a new bond is formed, another is broken. A creature sealed away awakened from decades of slumber, the curse cast on it broken once more. The wind howled mercilessly, rattling the leaves of trees that littered the outside of a school. An academy divided into two; middle school and high school. With noticeably varying arcitectural styles, the building reeked of mystery.
-
'Hey, have you heard...?'
-
The moon loomed over the building like a snake eyeing its prey, it's light coating sharp edges in an eerie glow. A cold shiver seemed to run down the atmosphere, the wind picking up speed momentarily before settling down. As an unimaginable stillness lay atop the air, a figure appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
Hair floating in the air in a phantom breeze, the figure gazed at the academy solemly. The moon's light seemed to brighten upon the figure, as if welcoming an old friend back.
-
'Have you heard of this rumor?'
-
Within the quiet of the night, the wind picked up again. A gentle breeze brushed past the figure in a melancholic manner, as if it was mourning the dullness of a heart that had seized beating oh so long ago. Even the grass beneath their feet seemed to droop down in their presence, an aura of bleakness radiating from their mind.
-
'The rumor of the Cat of the Night?'
-
Moments seemed to pass as the mysterious individual luxuriated in their first breaths of the cool air of nightfall- it had been so long since they had last felt it. Spreading their fingers, they welcomed the sense of touch the wind or subtle movements of the fabric they wore provided them with. It had been so long since they had last felt it. Opening their eyes, their eyebrows furrowed. It had been so long since they had last seen that building. A face of feminine traits lay on the figure, her eyes fluttering closed with a sigh.
-
'They say that if you pray for its protection on the roof of the school at 9 am, it might come find you next morning.'
-
It seems like she had been summoned by the far cries of a soul in need of protection. Or rather, it seemed like someone had broken a promise and in return, broken the seal that had kept her trapped in the ground of this school. Anger bloomed in her chest for a moment, only to be swept away by the gentle caress of the wind.
-
'No-one has seen it in ages, though...'
-
With a gentle sigh, the female seemed to warp and shrink, disappearing into the form of a small feline. Sitting down onto the rough gravel below, her eyes shone with the intensity of the moon. It seemed like she had a reason for being brought here again. She felt it in her heart; a cry for protection stirring from morning dew. A young girl's face appeared in her mind- she needed to find her first thing next morning. Still gazing at the academy, the feline found herself wishing to not cross paths with him. Betrayal and agony ached in her soul as vengenance filled their mind.
She, [l/n] [f/n], swore to never forgive him for what he did.
