✧.Mustering up the best smile you could, you looked into her eyes with a sense of softness. Alas, even if you wanted to, you still couldn't ignore the evergrowing sense of dread at the bottom of your stomach, signaling to you that something bad was going to happen soon.
-------------------------------------------------
"Oh no- so then it's real?!" Nene stuttered as she gazed ahead at the bloody stairs in front of you. You, Nene, Kou and Hanako had arrived at the stairs only to be met with an admittedly peculiar case of bloody stairs.
"Well then! Shall we go? It's the fourth step, right," Hanako commented in a tone that was a bit too excited for your liking. You rolled your eyes, scooting just a tad closer to Nene's legs in a protective manner. Not looking forward to stepping upon the bloody stairs, your ears drooped and a sour frown sat upon your face. The dread that had been pestering you from the bottom of your stomach remained stubbornly in place, refusing to disappear.
As Hanako began to count the steps your party took, you grew even more irritated. As you set foot upon the bloody fourth step, you suddenly felt your surroundings disappear and warp. The sensation was something akin to an out of body experience- your being seemed to float in the sweet embrace of nothingness for what felt like centuries but was in reality just a few seconds.
Upon feeling solid ground beneath your paws at last, your eyes blinked open cautiously, your field of vision engulfed by warm tones.
"Where are we?" Nene questioned, seemingly in a state of awe as she took in the bizarre surroundings.
"Well hello there Misaki stairs~ I appreciate an entity with a flair for bold aesthetics," Hanako commented, ignoring Nene's question. You didn't blame him for that, though, since the answer to her question was quite obvious; you were in a boundary.

Having aimlessly wandered around the bizarre territory, the four of you eventually ended up at a flight of stairs. You were constantly wary of your surroundings, ears perked up and attentive eyes roaming around the messy piles of garbage.
"Hey toilet boy, this place is lame so far. Where's all the shredding you're not protecting me from?" Kou asked, making you grimace at his words. He should be thankful for not having come face to face with the apparition of this boundary yet.
"Hmmm? You expected to see the main event right away? But then we'd have no time to explore and that wouldn't be any fun," Hanako replied with a sly smirk, floating off the ground by a few centimeters. "Personally, I find seeing someone being torn apart bit by bit much more entertaining."
"You sure are a piece of work," Kou sighed.
"Well at least you get it! I'm shocked at how many still don't. The Seven Wonders of the school have been leading our fellow apparitions for ages and it's a shame more of your kind don't appreciate us," Hanako started, looking down at Nene and Kou with an impish smile. You merely grunted at his words.
