If Not Boyfriend, Then Protector

"Oh, Beau!" Spitfire smiles happily.

Beau answers, " you deserve something nice,"

" You seriously know how to make me smile," Spitfire replied, gratefully When, swiftly somebody enters the restrooms, " Beau, I got to let you go," he says in a hushed whisper, " bye," he says quickly,

" Ok, ok, ok... See you tonight," Beau responds,

before clicking the phone and hanging up,

Spitfire took a deep breath,

opening the stall door casually,

it wasn't Scott but an older man heading towards a stalk door,

Spitfire scampered past him,

opening the main door

And traveling towards the figurines and statues,

he finally found Scott.

" Hey, " Scott smiles, watching Spitfire high step it to Scott's side,

" I gotta find something for my cousin's birthday, he likes?????" Spitfire says, trying to think back, " oh, turtles, Koda loves turtles," he says with a smile picking up a small figurine that had two turtles swimming,

" I didn't even know you had a cousin, Koda?" Scott smirks,

" It is cute, though," he smiles, studying at the statue,

Spitfire laughs, turning the figurine upside down," Whoa.... The price isn't," he frowns, putting it down on the shelf,

Scott grabs it, placing it in a two-handled carry cart,

" I'll buy it for you," he smiles, " Hey baby, you feeling ok?" He asks watching Spitfire bothered,

Spitfire sneers, " yes, as a matter of fact, I'm feeling great,"

Scott shook his head, " you look exhausted,

guess that is what I'm seeing,"

Spitfire nods, " well, so do you," he replies.

" What???... Nah, I earned these dark circles,

hard work pays off, and no... I'm not drunk having fun,

I'm scheduling our touring route," Scott says,

Spitfire jeers, " Scott, you jerk,"

Scott shapes a brow, " what's with the attitude?"

" Attitude?.... You act like I drink all the time,

it's literally the first time I've ever tried alcohol," Spitfire fires back,

" No offense, babe, I didn't mean to upset you," Scott says sincerely, draping his rather large arm around Spitfires shoulders,

Spitfire frowns, " I'm sorry," he says, directly " I didn't mean to lash out on you,"

" Don't apologize,

I should stop being sarcastic,

actually, my mom was talking about that when I visited last week, ha!" Scott chuckles at the thought,

"she told me I have my dad's sarcastic attitude,

I couldn't believe it, to be honest,

I look like my mom, but my so-called sarcastic attitude comes from dad," he says, following a dramatic laugh,

Spitfire giggles along with him, "you should invite them over some time,"

" Yeah, they've never met you, although I've told both of them we were dating, Mom is overly excited that her youngest son finally came out of that old closet," he rolls his eyes jokingly, " I think mom new though," Scott smiles glancing to Spitfire who seemed very distracted and uninterested in Scott's story,
