Spitfires alarm clock rang,
He opened his eyes slowly,
glancing at his clock setting alongside his bed,
he fell asleep with the box of earrings in hand,
and they were next to him on top of the covers,
He yawns, a long stretch followed as he sat up in bed,
Spitfire was still in the clothes from the night before he ran his fingers through his hair before standing up,
"The night seemed so short,"
Spitfire thought to himself as he landed another foot in front of the other, over to his door,
It was 8:00 AM
The whole house was awake and noisy
Buddy raced into the kitchen passing Spitfire,
" he'll be here any minute," he says,
bustling to wipe off the oven from baking a three-story tall chocolate cake,
That's one thing about this family,
No one ever went hungry!
Spitfire grabbed some toast tossing them into the toaster,
watching his uncle rush was entertaining,
and he counted until the toast popped,
Spitfire grabbed the butter knife and smeared some butter on top,
taking a bite, Buddy ran over to the rug,
spotting some dirt, he'd missed with the broom,
" ugh great..... " He cries,
" Uncle, it's only Koda, not the president of the united states," Spitfire giggles taking another bite,
" I know, I know, but it's been forever since he's visited, and today is a special day," Buddy smiles, going to his knee scrubbing the dirt marks,
Spitfire shook his head in laughter,
Soon the doorbell rang,
it was Koda,
Buddy hurried to the entrance, whispering,
" Everyone knows the plan, hide now!"
The rest of the family took their position,
behind furniture and household items,
Buddy slowly opened the door then stood behind it,
as Koda peeked in,
" Hello?... Is anyone home?" He asks, stepping in, with a suitcase in hand,
" HAPPY BIRTHDAY KODA!" The family screamed,
jumping out of places around the house,
Koda sprang startled with his hand over his heart,
" Whoa!" He shouts, " you all scared me,"
