George woke up in the middle of the night and needed to go to the bathroom. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and went to get up, but seeing the floor made him visibly jump and retract his legs.
The whole floor was just a huge dark void. When George inched his foot down, he almost screamed when it kept going down into the abyss. He actually did scream when he saw hands reaching up at him from inside.
He scurried back to the middle of the bed and brought his knees to his chest. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried to make it go away, but it didn't. What George didn't realize was that he woke his boyfriend up.
"Gogy? Something wrong?" He said groggily, rubbing his eyes.
"M'sorry for waking you."
"What happened?"
"I-I just needed to go to the bathroom but I can't."
"Why not, something bad on the floor?"
George nodded and Wilbur sighed, feeling very bad for him.
"Can you close your eyes for me?"
George nodded and squeezed them shut. When he saw that his eyes were closed, Wilbur got up and went to the other side of the bed.
"Keep your eyes closed, okay? I'm going to pick you up."
Wilbur leaned over and picked George up. George wrapped his arms around Wilbur's neck and his legs around Wilbur's waist. Wil straightened up and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
"We're in the bathroom, can you try opening your eyes?"
George nodded and hesitantly opened one eye. He sighed in relief that everything looked normal.
"Thank you Wilby, m'sorry for being such a bother."
"Hey. You are never bothering me, okay? I love you so much and I want to help you."
"Thank you."
"Do you want me to stay just in case?"
George said yes and when he was done Wil opened the door. George looked around and didn't see anything different, except for that the floor was now normal again.
"It's normal."
The couple walked over and crawled into bed, George snuggling into Wilbur's side and feeling very sleepy again.
"I love you..." George whispered before he fell asleep, safe in his boyfriend's arms.
