SGE in the Hunger Games (DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 2

Emma and a few Peacekeepers had walked Agatha and Sophie to two separate rooms for the goodbyes. As Sophie waited for her dad to show up, she imagined everything she would see in the Capitol. She closed her eyes and imagined herself in the most beautiful dress. Everything seems to fade away as she imagines herself in a ballroom, dancing with hundreds of beautiful princes, who's faces seem to be blurred. She dances into one princes arms who feels different from the rest. She feels some sort of connection to him. She starts to look up at his face and sees-

Sophie's eyes snap open when she hears knocking coming from the door. She stands up and walks over to it, opening it to see her dad, Stefan. Stefan rushes in and hugs his daughter, holding her tightly. Sophie pats her dad on the back, a little annoyed that her daydream got interrupted. She really wanted to see what the boy looked like. Stefan suddenly grabs Sophie's shoulders instead and looks her in the eyes. "You're going to be okay. Just stick with Agatha and you should be fine." He grips her shoulders a little tighter, going a little crazy with worry. "Just promise me that you'll stay with Agatha."

Sophie glances up at her dad, then looks down at the ground. "I promise."

The Peacekeepers open the door, not even caring about knocking, and grab Stefan, pulling him out of the room. Stefan looks at his daughter one last time and says "I love you." The Peacekeepers pull him out of the room and shut the door. Since Sophie doesn't have anyone else that would visit her, she just sits back down on the chair and tries to get back to her earlier daydream, but is somehow unable to. She sighs and sits back, waiting for the Peacekeepers to come grab her.

Agatha, on the other hand, was pacing around the room and biting her nails, deep in thought. Callis walks in and looks at Agatha. Agatha hears Callis walk in and runs over to her, hugging her tightly. "I'm scared, Mother."

Callis smooths down Agatha's hair, holding her. "You'll be okay, just remember everything I've taught you."

Agatha nods and takes some deep breaths, the rash on her neck calming down. She looks up at her Mother and smiles a little. "I'm gonna need to protect Sophie, right?"

Callis smiles at Agatha and moves her hair behind her ear, saying, "Yes, and make sure to smile. You're going to need sponsors."

Agatha sighs, but nods, letting go of her Mother right as the Peacekeepers walk in. "I love you, Mother."

Callis smiles and walks out before the Peacekeepers have the chance to grab her.

Agatha watches her leave, starting to panic again, but takes deep breaths and starts

pacing again; Doing it helps her think easier.

The Peacekeepers come in a few minutes later. Agatha tries to run past them, but one of them roughly grabs her arm and starts pulling her out of the building.

At the same time this is happening, a different troop of Peacekeepers goes into Sophie's room. She walks with them willingly, not wanting them to grab her arm, and looks around for Agatha.

Agatha sees Sophie at the same time Sophie sees her, and Agatha tries to reach for her. A voice comes out of nowhere, surprising them both. "Ah, there you two are! I was wondering what was taking so long."

Both girls look over to see Emma standing there in her white swan-feather dress. The Peacekeeper lets go of Agatha and the whole troop backs up.

Emma waves her hand for them to come over and cheerily says, "Come on, now! We don't want to keep your mentors waiting!"

Agatha and Sophie both had the same confused thought as they followed Emma onto the train: Mentors?
