I got a request for more Dunclet, so here you go!

Some background info for this one-shot, the Baudelaires and Quagmires are at Prufrock Prep, but it's an AU where they actually get to live in a dorm. It's snowing outside, so school was canceled for the day because V.P. Nero is lazy.

Violet's POV:

"Violet, it's snowing!" Duncan shouted excitedly as he looked out the window.

"I'm aware," I mumbled back, tinkering with an broken music box I had found. It had been abandoned on the sidewalk of Prufrock. I tightened the last gear and then set the box down on the table. I opened up the wooden lid and cranked the handle, then smiled triumphantly when the tiny ballerina spun around to the soft hum of the lullaby that the music box played.

"Look, I fixed the music box," I said to Duncan, holding it up. A piece of its white paint cracked and fell to the ground. "It needs a new coat of paint, though," I said as the song ended and the ballerina stopped dancing. Duncan didn't respond to me, so I looked up and saw him sitting on the floor, pulling on his boots.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

He looked up at me in bewilderment. "Do you really expect me to stay inside when I could be out there playing in the magical winter wonderland?" he said.

I couldn't help but giggle as I shook my head. "You're silly, Duncan," I said. He smiled and zipped his coat up.

"Do you want to come with me?" he asked. I thought for a moment. I did enjoy Duncan's company, but I also despised the cold. I bit my lip in thought as I looked up at him. He was doing his best pleading puppy dog eyes, and I sighed in defeat.

"I guess so," I said, knowing I could never resist the puppy dog eyes.

He smiled again and rushed over to me, grabbing my hands and pulling me off the ground. Still smiling, he wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me into a short but sweet kiss. He had kissed me before, plenty of times, but I still got warm, pleasant butterflies in my stomach from his soft lips.

Duncan pulled away and noticed how hard I was blushing, then smirked. "You like me," he teased in a sing-song voice.

"I do not," I said, trying to hide my smile. I failed in my efforts and ended up kissing him again.

"Okay, snow time!" he said after I pulled away, entwining our fingers and dragging me outside.

"I don't have a coat on," I laughed, my feet sliding on the icy concrete. Duncan paused and grabbed something from the hook inside the door, then handed it to me.

"You can wear my hoodie," he said. "You steal it all the time anyways."

I giggled and pulled on the soft jacket. It was a little too big for me, and the sleeves fell over my hands. Duncan smiled and kissed the top of my head, wrapping his arm around my waist to steady me as I half-walked, half-slid down the sidewalk. We somehow made it to the gym field without falling on our faces, and saw that a lot of the other students were playing in the snow as well.

I felt something cold hit my arm, then looked down and saw that someone had thrown a snowball at me. I looked in the direction the snowball came from and saw Klaus giving me a mischievous grin.

"Sorry, Violet!" he said,  but he looked like he was trying to hold back his laughter.

I smirked and picked up giant handful of the freezing cold snow, then threw it Klaus. Isadora laughed from behind him as he slipped and fell to the ground.

"Ah! I've been ambushed!" he shrieked when Isadora threw more snow at him.

We all laughed and then a snow war broke out. Duncan and I built a wall of snow to act as our base, then we hid behind it to protect ourselves from Klaus and Isadora's attacks. The two of them had to stop every few minutes to re-make their snowballs, so we took that time to throw snow back at them.

It was a lot of fun, and we played for hours, but eventually Duncan called a truce because he got snow up his nose. Everyone laughed at that, including Duncan himself, and we agreed to head inside and warm up.

"I can't feel my fingers!" I said with a laugh as we stumbled back into our shared dorm room.

"I can't theel my thongue," Klaus said, sticking his tongue out of his mouth for emphasis.

"I told you not to lick that icicle," Isadora giggled. She kissed his cheek, then wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his chest. He smiled and held her close, brushing snow out of her long, dark hair.

"Cookie?" a high-pitched, familiar voice asked. I looked down at the ground and saw Sunny nibbling on a chocolate chip cookie. She was wearing her tiny apron, which was covered in flour.

"Did you bake these all by yourself?" Duncan mumbled as he walked out of the kitchen, a cookie in his mouth.

"Cookie!" Sunny shrieked in agreement.

"Yes, you are quite the culinary expert," I replied with a smile, patting her little blonde head.

"I want a cookie," Klaus and Isadora said in unison, then looked at each other and laughed.

We all grabbed a cookie and then huddled together on the couch to watch a movie. Sunny ended up falling asleep in my lap, and Klaus and Isadora fell asleep as they cuddled together. Duncan held me close and stroked my hair as I snuggled comfortably into his side.

"That was fun," I muttered, half asleep myself.

Duncan smiled and kissed the top of my head. "It wasn't fun when I got snow in my nose," he laughed.

I smiled too and closed my eyes, not really paying attention to the movie that played on the small television. Duncan wrapped the fuzzy blanket tighter around the two of us, and we fell asleep together too.

(A/N) Does anyone else want a cookie now? 🍪😂 Okay, I guess that's it. Love you guys!
