Klaus smiled as he gazed at Isadora. She was laying on her stomach across his bed, gently kicking her legs in the air as she read her book. Her long, dark hair was pulled back in a loose braid, and her sparkling green eyes were filled with passion and imagination. Klaus wondered what she was reading about that lit up the spark of curiosity one felt as a child, that desire to see the world and learn new things. He glanced at the cover of the book, then chuckled.

"Reading about pirates again, Iz?" he said quietly.

She lifted her head to glance at him, her braid falling over her shoulder as she did so. She gave him one of those smiles that always melted his heart, then sat up and crawled over to sit right next to him. "Yeah!" she said excitedly. "Violet is always talking about those female Finnish pirates, so I found a book about them in the library. This one is more of a historical fiction book, rather than non-fiction, but it's just... It's one of those books that's so well written that you forget you're reading and you feel like you're there. "

Klaus gave her a gentle smile and slipped his arm around her waist. Isadora giggled and snuggled closer to him, then went back to reading, her head on his shoulder.

While she got lost in the exciting world of pirates, he got lost in her gorgeous eyes. Without him even realizing it, his hand found its way to her shoulder and he gently rubbed her arm. She shivered a little but smiled, welcoming his soft touch. He smiled back, pressing his lips to her forehead in a tender kiss.

Isadora sighed contentedly, closing her eyes and giggling as Klaus continued to kiss her face, even pecking her lips a few times. She couldn't believe that this boy, her best friend, her boyfriend, was really just that. Hers. She couldn't believe how in the world she ended up with such an amazing guy, but then his lips met hers again, and all her worries faded away.

She cupped his face and kissed him back, and they both felt the happiest they had ever been.
