Third Person pov:
"So," Duncan said, breaking the silence of the library.
Klaus looked up from his book, confused.
"The dance is tomorrow." Duncan said, playing with the pages of his book.
Klaus nodded slowly, "Yeah, what about it?"
"Is Violet going?" Duncan asked, not meeting Klaus's gaze.
Klaus raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Maybe. Why?" He said nonchalantly.
"W-well... N-nothing, never mind." Duncan said quickly, turning back to his book.
Klaus sighed quietly, contemplating if he should ask or not.
"Um," Klaus finally said, "Is Izzie going?"
Duncan snapped his head up, a slight hint of rage in his eyes. "Why?" He asked sharply.
"I, I just uh, I kinda wanted to go with her." Klaus mumbled.
Duncan's glare softened a bit. "Yeah, she's going." He said, turning his attention back to the book. "I wasn't supposed to say anything, but she wanted you to ask her."
Klaus blushed, "Really?"
Duncan nodded, not looking at him.
"Wow." Klaus whispered.
"Hurt her and I will kill you, Baudelaire." Duncan warned, his voice steely and cold.
"Wouldn't dream of it, Quagmire." Klaus replied.
~Isadora's pov~
"Ugh, I have nothing to wear!" Violet whined, rummaging through my small collection of handmade dresses.
"Girl, those aren't even your clothes." I said, looking up from my commonplace book.
"I know, that's because I have nothing to wear," Violet explained, turning to me, "You on the other hand, have the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen!"
I rolled my eyes, "Well, feel free to use 'em. I won't be needing any."
Violet gave me a confused look as she held a sparkly blue dress up. "What do you mean, Iz?"
"I mean no one's asked me, so I'll just stay here in my wonderful broom closet." I said sarcastically.
"We could go together," Violet suggested, examining a plain black dress, "You know, as a girls night or something."
"I guess," I mumbled, although I knew that Duncan was planning to ask her out.
"Ooh!" Violet exclaimed suddenly, making me jump a bit.
"What?" I asked when she stopped talking and started jumping around excitedly.
"You could totally go with Klaus!" She said.
My face turned red and I buried it in my notebook. "Vi!" I cried.
"You guys belong together though! I don't know why, you just click." She explained, holding a red mini skirt up.
"He doesn't like me like that." I whined, laying back on my makeshift bed.
Violet chuckled, "Seriously, Izzie? Klaus is like a love struck puppy whenever someone so much as mentions you."
"Liar." I mutter, suffocating myself with my grimy pillow.
"Eww, don't put that on your face." Violet says, taking the pillow away from me.
