Random ASOUE stuff

Things in fan fics that bother me

There's a lot of things that bother me about ASOUE fan fictions, like bad grammar, incorrect capitalization, and a lot of other things, but one of the things that I hate the most is when one of the characters is turned extremely violent.

Like, if it's Count Olaf or another character who actually is a villain, then I get it and it doesn't bother me as much. But when authors make Duncan or Quigley or even Fiona a crazy, brutal psychopath, it really bugs me.

If you don't like a certain ship, that's okay, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the person you dislike in the ship is evil. Fiona included. I don't like her at all, but when I see her portrayed as a jealous, insane girl intent on stealing Klaus away from Isadora at any cost, (including doing things like kidnapping, going into a rage, physically hurting people, etc.), it's honestly really unnerving.

I've seen this happen in a lot of fan fictions. I've seen this mostly in stories where the author is shipping Dunclet/Quiglet, (note: I only read the Quiglet ones if it's mostly Kladora), and they make either Duncan or Quigley extremely jealous of whichever brother happens to be with Violet, which often leads to a lot of violence and fighting.

Again, I don't ship Quiglet, but I don't dislike Quigley in general. He's a pretty cool character over all, I just don't ship him with Violet. So, when I see him shown as an abusive person, it kinda hurts. He wouldn't hurt anyone on purpose, (neither would Duncan), just because he was jealous. Especially if it was someone he was close to, like family or friends.
