Bailey POV

Mark pulls  Derek away from the lifeless limp body of his girlfriend and I automatically take his place gripping her small hand in mine. her face is pale and lips blue.

"Okay everybody, let's get her moving into a trauma room. We need AB blood at the ready, type-specific on standby." 

We wheel her into trauma room one and I feel the movement from her hand I look at her face and see her eyes wide open. The pain in her face unbearable to witness. "We've got you Meredith, you're not gonna die" I rub her hair back and look into her eyes trying my best to fight the tears. 

"Okay let's push morphine to help with the pain, this is one of our own people. All hands on deck."

Meredith's eyes flutter shut and I motion for everyone to begin, it's a race against the clock.

The door swings in and I see the familiar red-haired surgeon rush in, this time dressed in navy attending scrubs.

"Someone page me in need of a rape kit?" 

"uhuh no, no way" I state with my hands applying pressure to the stab wounds in the middle of her abdomen I grab a nurse with one of my free hands to subtly get her attention. "Olivia, Please page me Dr. Robbins to take over from Dr. Montogmery, and please escort her out of this room and down to the chief's office I don't want her anywhere within the proximity of this patient."

Olivia nods and makes her way over to Addison.

" Excuse me Dr. Montgomery but it has been requested that you are removed from this case immediately and the chief needs to see you in his office, so if you would please come with me."

A puzzled look crosses Addison's face as she makes eye contact with me whilst I'm packing the wounds of my intern 

I notice the decrease in pulse on the monitor and the shivering of the young woman's body " Can someone bring me a heating blanket. This defiantly seems like hypothermia."

"Dr. Bailey" The redhead calls

"Yes, Dr. Montgomery?"

"Care to tell me why I am being removed from this case? this emergent case that clearly needs my attention now."

"It is in the patient's best care that we remove you from this case, now if you don't mind we would like to continue with our jobs which happens to be  saving this life."

"I just don't see the reason that this patient is so special I mean why-"

She stops speaking and I just know that she has found out who the patient is I look at her face to see the smirk tugging at her lips. anger rushes through me.

"Oh that's why, I always knew she was a slut guess she chose the wrong person to sleep with this time" 

I look towards Olivia with the anger clear across my face.

"Olivia please can you escort Dr. Montgomery to the chief and update him on the current events"

She nods with pure shock on her face from Addison's previous comment still visible she grabs Addison's arm and gently guides her away. As they exit the perky blonde-haired peds doctor enters 

"Hey, I was paged?"

"Ah, Dr. Robbins just in time we need you to perform an exam and rape kit on a suspected rape and miscarriage."

her eyebrows furrow in confusion before she looks down and a solemn expression replaces it.

"Oh my god, is that Dr. Grey?"

I choked back more tears before slowly nodding yes.

"yes, now, please will you perform the exam and try to keep the gossip mill from hearing too much"

Just as Arizona was about to proceed the shrill high pitched beep coming from the monitors fill the air

"SHE'S CODING GET ME THE PADDLES! CHARGE TO 200, CLEAR!"

her lifeless body jerks on the table 

"NOTHING, CHARGE TO 250... CLEAR!...NO CHANGE... COME ON GREY WE NEED YOU, DEREK NEEDS YOU... CHARGE TO 300... CLEAR!"

Her body is shocked once again still no change. the door swings on to reveal Richard Webber "what happened?"

"PUSH 10MG OF EPI CHARGE TO 350... COME ON WORK PLEASE... CLEAR!"

A rhythm appears on the monitor and audible sighs of relief are heard around the room

"LET'S GET HER DOWN TO AN O.R NOW WE NEED TO OPEN HER UP"

"Bailey, what happen to her?"

"suspected rape, Shepherd and stevens found her like this in an alley"

"Oh God, Okay. Let's move it people"

Robbins pulls me to the side "You guys are going in blind?"

"We have to if we want any chance at saving her" I grab Meredith's hand as the wheel away. "Derek loves you, not her he told me the story. you have to stay alive for him and me okay?" I look around at the peering faces of the corridor before we enter the elevator making eye contact with a distraught Derek coming from an on-call room our eye contact breaking as the doors close.

"Alright people, it's a beautiful night to save a life"
