Chapter 1

'I knew he will say something embarassing! I didn't expect him to come to a decision of marrying me just because he accidentally saw me naked while bathing earlier'

"W-wait, I-i already forgive you! You don't have to take responsibility. J-just forget it"

"That would be impossible. I can't just ignore what happen earlier and pretend nothing happen"

'Ugh! Now I get it. He's a man with a sense of justice. So he will be really guilty for not doing something. Wait..... Since he is a demon slayer and a hashira, perhaps'

"Fine, Since you want to take responsibility. Can you do me a favor? Instead of marriage?You don't have to worry about the mission on the village outside the forest. I already killed that morphed demon"

"My name is Kamado Y/N. I'm the only remaining survivor of our family. I was on my way back home last night after patrolling our village when I sense a very strong strong demonic presence at our house. Father warn me not to enter the house and told me my mother and two siblings have been killed. Father saw how that man killed them!! I even caught a glimpse of the splattred blood on the window. I knew right away that father didn't want me to see them dead"

Y/N said with horrified expression as her tears starts fall. Kyojuro look at her while furrowing his brows.

'Why did Muzan killed them? What does her family have to do with Muzan?'

"I only manage to escaped because my father fought off with Muzan to buy me time to escape so I can warn my Aunt and cousins who is living on the mountain which is two villages away from here in the northwest. I will fulfill my father's last wish and protect my remaining relatives!"

Kyojuro wipe her tears then put his hand on her shoulder to reassure her. He wants to hug her so he can comfort her but after what happen earlier and they just met he decided not to. He don't want to make her uncomfortable.

'Why did Muzan hunt her family? Wait..... She's a swordswoman and she mention her father fight with Muzan to buy her time time to escape. Is their family a family of swordsman and swordswoman?'

"Say Y/N, you're a swordswoman right? Who taught you how to use a sword?"

"My father, he trained me when I was young. He was supposed to teach my younger brother if the incident didn't happen. Our family has passed down a certain breathing technique together with the hanafuda earrings that comes from our ancestor. Though the earrings were only to be wore by the eldest son of the family"

"So your family is almost the same as mine!! We are also a family of swordsman and we even became a demonslayer in every generation ever since the sengoku era! Maybe if we meet next time, I'll show you our notes from the former Flame Hashiras since Sengoku Era. Perhaps we can find something about your family and we can train together! " He said enthusiastically

He immediately stop when he remember something.

"You just said hanafuda earrings. I feel like I heard my father mention it before but I'm not sure. But do you have any idea on why Muzan hunt down your family?"

"I don't know. My father only told me to escape and go to my other remaining relatives."

"Don't worry! I'll tell Oyakata sama so we can send you some help! In the whole century, this is the first time Muzan make his move. We'll never let this go!!" Kyojuro said with booming voice

"You must. Now, I'll go to Aunt Kie. I hope you will be safe on your journey back to your head quarters" Y/N said then bow in gratitude

She immediately jump off from the ground up to the tree.

'She's fast. From her aim earlier, her form when she threaten me with her sword and the aura she releases, it's on the same level as hashira. I've never heard of someone with a black sword reach the level of hashira's strength. She's amazing! Her father must be strong too since he last long against Muzan to buy her time!'

Then Kyojuro took off to go back to their head quarters. Suddenly his crow land on his shoulder.

"Caww! The demon is already killed on the village you are assigned to! Caw!!" The crow said

"Oh! She really did finish the demon I'm supposed to kill! I guess I'll report to Oyakata sama!"

'I'll do this not because of a favor but because it's our responsibility as a Demon Slayer to protect others from demons. If we meet again after this
Kamado san, I promise.... I will still marry you'
Kyojuro thought then smile as he jump off from the branch then run on the ground.

'Wait, I forgot to ask her what breathing technique she's using. Maybe I'll ask her when we meet again'

Y/N continue on running at full speed.

'I must hurry up!'

She jump on the stones on the river to get to the other side. It is already noon and she reach another village. She stop by a nearby restaurant to eat and rest.

'One more village to go and I'll reach their home but the last village is far since I have to cross the snowy mountain and a forest before I reach that village. If I will estimate the time of travel, I will reach their house before the sun rises if I will run non stop. But this is life and death situation so there's no time to only walk! I guess I'll run non stop later but I have to be on full energy first'

She ordered 10 bowls of udon making the chef surprised but decided to ignore it. After she got her order, she pray and thanking for the meals. After that she immediately began eat. When she finished her 10 bowls of udon, the chef including the other customers look at her with shock expression

'How can she have such a big apetite?' The chef thought but he smiled because she enjoyed the udon he made.

She payed for the meals then left the restaurant to continue her journey. She run without stopping until the midnight passed. The sky is very dark without stars coming out. She reach the last village and she stop at the nearby tree to rest after a long time running. She sit down on the bench and drink water from her gourd then look at the night sky.

'I hope I see you guys safe and sound'

"Now that I think about it. I miss my cute cousins especially Tanjiro, Nezuko and Takeo" Y/N mutter, longing to see them

'They even treat me as their real older sister and keep calling me Neesan. Once I reach their house, I will give them lots of hugs and head pats'

Y/N smile at the memory when her and her family visits them twice a year.

'I hope Tanjiro don't overwork himself since he is the eldest. Most of heavy work are always done by Tanjiro ever since Uncle Tanjuro died' Y/N stand up from her seat then sigh and look at the sky.

'We were supposed to visit them to celebrate the New Year's eve together if that bastard didn't come and massacre my family!!!!' Y/N thought angrily but she stop

'No! I must control my emotions. If I cannot control it, I will cannot access to the See Through World my father taught me about' She calm herself then starts to run to the mountain

'2 hours left before dawn. I guess I'll just rest at their home'

Unknown to Y/N, Tanjiro is sleeping at Saburo's house while Aunt Kie sleeps with her children peacefully and the one she's dreading will happen later.
