Chapter 11

Tanjiro's almost bulge his eye out as he look at the streets of Asakusa.

'Are the cities this advanced now? It's night time, but it's so bright out!' He thought as he sweat nervously while holding Nezuko and Y/N's hand.

Tanjiro look around and notice many things that can't be found in the villages he passed by. They didn't use a cart as transportation but rather a thing which he didn't recognize. The lights are so bright and he wonder what kind of lamp are they using to make the city bright as day. And the thing he didn't get used most in the place is the crowds. Compared to the city, the village he visited didn't usually got crowded like in front of him. He can't help but get dizzy from too much mix of scents and he don't like it. He wants to get his sister and cousin out of the crowded area and find a less populated area to breath.

"I feel dizzy.." Tanjiro mutter as they walk on the crowded street.

Tanjiro found a dark alleyway nearby and decided to go there.

"Uh, let's go that way, neesan, Nezuko!" Tanjiro said in hurry as he drag them towards the alleyway.

Tanjiro immediately freak out and blush when he saw a couple making out.

"I-I beg your pardon!" Tanjiro said with embarassed expression then immediately drag both her cousin and sister out of the alleyway

Y/N only look at Tanjiro and Nezuko in pity while following them. She wonder why she doesn't have the same reaction as Tanjiro and Nezuko when they saw a city and she can't help but assume that she maybe frequently go to cities when she still have her memories.

Time skip......

Three of them managed to get out of the crowded area and now walking on the empty street. Nezuko and Tanjiro are both walking with a tired face while Y/N only give them a dotted eye look. Not from afar, they found an Udon cart and it made Tanjiro realize how hungry he is. Three of them walk towards the cart and they found the owner smoking on a kiseru behind the cart.

"Excuse me."

The owner stop then look at them.

"A bowl of udon with grated yam on top please." Tanjiro said tiredly

"Uh, sure thing!"

Three of them sit at the bench near the cart to wait for the udon.

"I've never been to a place like this. It's way too crowded." Tanjiro mutter

Nezuko fall asleep on Tanjiro's shoulder making Tanjiro look at her softly. Y/N pat Tanjiro's head to comfort him and Tanjiro immediately smile at her.

"Thank you, neesan"

'I almost forgot, neesan tells us stories on how she always go to cities. No wonder, she only weave through the crowds while following us like it's nothing.

"Here's your udon with grated yam on top!" The owner said

"Thank you very much."

Tanjiro took a sip on the bowl and sigh in relief when suddenly a familiar foul scent reach his nose.The pungent smell of concentrated blood which come from thousands of humans make him freeze in shock. Y/N also froze when she sense a familiar demonic presence at the same time as Tanjiro. Y/N broke out of her frozen state when she saw Tanjiro run. She almost follow him but she suddenly remember Nezuko. She can't leave Nezuko in the open for other demon slayers to slay. She sense her surroundings if there's a slayer in the area and she found none. Y/N decided to left Nezuko behind and prioritize Tanjiro first. All of her senses spike up as her blood boil with rage at the same time worry that Tanjiro will foolishly fight ............
